Looking for an alcoholic recipe or something for a holiday party, pumpkinish or other type holiday mixed drink for the masses for a party.
Things like, Pumpkin, cinnamon, apples, etc...
I suck at coming up with drinks, if it were up to me we'd all drink scotch.
I don't have any recipes on punches that are halloween themed. It might be a little weird to have it flavored with spice, though, as it looks like it's just an all out party.
BUT, I think it would be really cool if you got a huge pumpkin, opened up the top, got rid of all the insides really nicely and scraped everything out, and then use that to hold your punch instead of a giant tub or what have you.
Also, this may not be exactly what you're looking for (spices, apples, etc), but how about Witches Brew? It follows the halloween theme. If you google it you'll find a lot of recipes for that.
Kind of late to be thinking about this. Google found me this, but they're right about pumpkin schnapps being virtually nonexistant. They say you can try using puree though.
Untried recipes I've copied that sound delicious and are fallish:
Scottish Spiced Ale
4 eggs
4 1/2 cups Scottish ale
1/4 cup clover honey
2 tbs butter, melted
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
Beat the eggs and 1/2 cup the ale with a whisk till frothy. In a small pot heat the remaining ale but do not let boil. While continuing to whisk the egg mix pour the warmed ale into the bowl. Return to the pot and add the remaining ingredients- reheat, but do not let boil. Serve when hot.
Hot Spiced Apple Cider with Pomegranate Juice
4 cups apple cider
2 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
6-8 tbs brown sugar
1/3 cup orange juice
6 inches of stick cinnamon
more sticks of cinnamon to garnish (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a pot; bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve in glasses with additional cinnamon sticks as garnish.
There's also a bazillion online recipes for cider using scotch, rum, and whiskey.
Oh, and depending on how big the party is there's the option of doing hot buttered rum. Again, lots of recipes for it; I haven't tried any to give my opinion thought.

Sounds good, wonder what kind of booze would go good with that?
I'm more of a beer guy so this whole mixology stuff is new to me.

I'd probably do spiced rum but someone else might have a better suggestion. I've yet to get onto the alcoholic punch line too since we haven't been able to entertain while living here. That's going to change, though!
I'm just assuming the spices in the rum would also help the overall flavor without adding a shit-ton of burn like some other liquors can do if you overkill.

I like the punch-in-pumpkin idea though! Will have to find something to go in it!

Found a ceramic painted pumpkin, and filled it with:
Apple Cider
Ginger Ale
Spiced Rum
Sliced apples
Turned out great and was a hit!
It was strong and snuck up quickly on you!
Next time I plan on freezing apple slices and using them as ice instead of regular ice cubes, and also prolly throwing in some stick of cinnamon.
