maaaan, now that I said this, I was remembering all the old crew that I used to play with, and it's just not going to be the same without Zonkytonk being a fucking idiot sniper retard fuck.
it is some money, though
some money for a thing that is free about a foot away
also, even if I wanted to pay for the shit, I can't, because they won't let me
so fuck 'em if they're gonna charge for their bullshit and then not even let me pay money for it
not that you could, of course
especially now that the ps3 is basically neck and neck with feature parity for no dollars
Pretty much this.
I mean I could have maybe justified it before for Netflix.
But now that PS3 will have Netflix for free?
Yeah...
I hate the Dualshock
I couldn't imagine playing MW2 on a DualShock.
well but I can't play stuff like Halo 3 or ODST on the PS3 and if I'm paying for online for those games then it dosen't cost me anything extra to play every single other game online.
it seems a little ridiculous that you need to pay money to use a free feature of a service you already pay money for
I for one welcome our ps3 overlords in that respect
That's a weird, but I guess cost-effective way to look at it.
Like you're saying you're paying a monthly fee to play Halo and it comes with the cool perk of playing your other games online.
that's fair
but you're still not telling me why the multiplayer for those games is worth paying for
what you're telling me is, microsoft is basically charging me for nothing and I'm ok with that because they have games I want to play
which is reasonable, but not necessarily an answer to my question
there's certain things you get used to when they're exclusive for so long
wouldn't dream of playing Tekken on the 360 for example
well if you don't have a ps3, fair enough.
I just think if Microsoft wants to continue charging for gold, they need to give people a reason.
I think they're starting to do that with this rewards program thing though
It has all the features that Xbox Live has, sans cross-game voice chat.
But that's coming in the next update.
So basically it all comes down to UI, and as far as online goes, I feel that Live has PSN beat in that regard (though I prefer the XMB over the NXE for media purposes by far)...not sure if it's exactly worth $50 more a year, but whatever.
he's still on my friends list and every time I see him I'm like
also, the old cod crew will be playing this
You can get used to it and it becomes a pretty good controller.
Also I would pay for it because sure I can play with complete strangers on the ps3, but almost everybody I know and most of the people on this forum have a 360
no one is buying this for the PC I'm told
Seeing as it has 32 player matches while 360 only has 16. Just wondering how hectic those matches would be, if they'd feel right or not.
I know that 60 player matches in Resistance 2 were just way too hectic to be any fun at all. Also Resistance 2 was pretty shit.
it's a console game with a shoddy port
So, for the first time in the se++ history, I will play this with you guys!
It did not leave a good impression.
On the other hand, local GameStop says they've already got a few hundred pre-orders sold and it's going to be this massive thing at midnight...
Ehhhhh
That's because it's not a good game!
Much like the 360 with Gears, you had to wait a year until there were any games worth a damn (Uncharted in the PS3's case).
Show up early
32 is a little large
24, maybe 26 is a good cap, though
What? I'm pretty sure the Ps3 only has 12 player matches, and the big team ones have 18 players.
I was more referring to the general environment, I don't care about being last in line or whatever.
I just know there's gonna be a bunch of idiot frat boys there though, the Halo 3 and GTAIV launches were bad enough and there were only about 50 or 60 at those.
Really? Again, I haven't played it so I can't say for certain, but I remember when COD4 came out, a bunch of PS3 players were coming in to G&T and talking about how technically it was a better game because it had double the max 360 player limit.
