Fall is in full force.

Huge Modern Warfare 2 launch this week on 360, PS3, and PC.

The Wii gets Modern Warfare: Reflex, and the NDS gets Modern Warfare Mobilized. The latter is the third N-Space developed game in the franchise, and will hopefully be just as good as its two predecessors, which are great portable shooters. Reflex is ported by Treyarch who have done incredibly good jobs with COD3 and World at War, so hopefully they make Reflex an excellent COD experience as well.

NDS also gets TMNT: Arcade Attack, which could be good if executed properly. It also gets Phantasy Star Zero, DBZ Attack of the Saiyans, and a new Harvest Moon.

PS3 finally gets the classic puzzle platformer Braid on PSN.

Wii gets its COD, but also Excitebike on Wiiware, as well as a few other games including the sequel to Shaun White Snowboarding, the balance-board based snowboarding game that was met with fairly good reception its first tiem around. The Wii also gets the excellent new version of Pro Evo 10, where the controls and interface of the game are so well done on the system many consider it more fun to play than the traditional method. Wii also gets NBA 2k10 and a new Harvest Moon.

It's the year of the feminine mystery novel video game adaptation, ain't it?

Huh, I just watched a bunch of gameplay videos of Reflex. It's pretty impressive how accurately the game ported over to the Wii. Of course it still has its hardware limitations, but considering what they did here is pretty impressive. Looks pretty good, smooth framerate, looks like it has excellent controls (as per usual treyarch Wii call of duty).

Might have been worth it if people cared about the game two years later and still $50 alongside the release of its much more hyped and anticipated big brother Sequel.

Incidentally I'm interested in the portable version. The past two were great, n-Space does a great job. I'll probably get the DS game for x-mas. I might get the PC version of MW2 for x-mas, perhaps. I just don't like the $60 asking price. Also kinda depends on my backlog by that time.

I still haven't decided whether to get MW2 on PS3 or Steam. On one hand, I dont' have to wait two extra days, get to sit on the couch with the HDTV and probably play against a more casual userbase, and on the other, I get KBAM and no worries about one day selling the console/having it collect dust in the attic with the N64 and PS1 and such.

Apparently a whole bunch of people.

I had heard about DB: Raging Blast, but I didn't know that a DBZ game was coming out for DS. It's weird how many Dragon Ball games are still being made.

Am I the only person who's getting nervous about there being two Harvest Moon games out this round? I got burned by Island of Happiness or whatever one of the earlier DS ones from last year was called something awful and I can't recall a single main series entry after that that's gotten my interest, and if they've hit the "fuck it, pump out whatever you can" phase then I can't help but fear the franchise is headed for a nosedive.

The last HM DS game was Island of Happiness, an otherwise great title ruined by the worst touch controls ever.

This is a sequel to that game with more stuff and button controls.

Now if you want to see something terrible about HM games look at the covers to the past three DS games...LOOK FAMILIAR???

What exactly is Phantasy Star 0? I've never heard of it (of course, I wasn't paying attention). Is it a new entry to the series?

Anyone getting Excite Bike? Looks pretty incredible, honestly. Online play too, right?

How about that TMNT game? Anyone still have faith in Ubi's ability to release an "arcade" style TMNT game after the mediocre remake of Turtles in Time?

Nintendo Power had a review for it that basically boiled down to "meh".
