The CTS is fugly as shit. It's not quite GMC "Terrain" fugly.. UGH god seriously my breakfast..
or Ford "Flex" fugly..
"what color would you like sir?"
"does it come in Shit Brown?"
"why yes, yes it does!"
To be fair nissan did it first with their "dark copper" color scheme on the 350Z
But yeah, the flex is just all kinds of terrible, which is interesting considering on the whole Ford's cars have been improving steadily in design and quality. I test drove a Taurus SHO for the hell of it back in January and it was quite nice.

The new SHO is supposed to be a very nice car. Sporty, very nice interior, and decently priced. Not the fastest car out there or the most luxurious but a nice blend of the two.
Ford knows what the fuck they're doing (well besides the Flex)
Yeah, but winters can be hell on diesel engines....particularly with the golf since it's a front wheel drive car.
I can imagine peak torque steer in the summer must be hell, let alone when you're fighting for grip in the snow
Torque steer in Amys car is practically non-existant. 350Nm through the front wheels? Why the fuck not, with the requisite chassis tuning from the factory.
I dunno what problems that guy could be having with his Golf.
the problem isnt driving it in winter, it's that it's a huge piece of shit with constant problems, glow plugs, battery. if he went a single night without plugging in the car then shit, might as well not even bother trying to start it without a jump.
they took his girlfriend's sunfire to work on the really cold days this winter because they can't get a plug in (for less than 300 dollars a month) downtown.
whatever little money he's saved in gas prices have been far outweighed by constantly having to get it fixed because it is a piece of shit, and from his research in trying to find out if he just got a lemon, his experiences are pretty common.

See that makes no sense at all to me. Are you guys getting your Volkswagens from somewhere other than Germany? What is going on over there?

Back end of the car is all mis-matched intersecting angles, it looks like it's been in a minor acident. Also DLO is too small, waistline is too high, C pillar is too thick. These three things make the car look heavy and tall.
We used to have an old Land Cruiser FJ40, I want to say a '72? Kind of a desert sand color, we bought it as a hardtop but Dad had a cloth top put on it
That thing kicked ass
I was psyched to see one turn up on Top Gear's South America special
I'd say we have more Camry/Corolla and Mazda3's on the road than anything else these days, I don't think as many people are buying the larger cars these days.

Yeah I don't like that either.
Side of the car is nice, smooth, clean, taut.

I'm sure that if we designed a car, it would look like this.

El Caminos? What are they? And yes, vans. Well, they are kinda necessary for carrying shit around.
edit: Oh right, Utes. Utes are also used for carrying shit around.
It's an El Camino! That's Spanish for "The Camino"
Which is a valid point, really.
This is the american excuse for owning an SUV.
