Problem with MSWord 2003

I think I've changed a setting or something because whenever I load Word up, the header and footer aren't immediately in view. Like so:

However once I go to View > Header and Footer... they rather obviously come back into view, even after I click out of them. It then looks as it should:

It's not to do with the Layout - I'm using Print Layout and that's all I've ever used. It must be something else. Any suggestions?

Well, you can try deleting (or renaming, in case you need to save it for something) your Normal.dot file. It should be under c:\documents and settings\username\application data\microsoft\templates

Just move it from there or delete it. That will force Word to regenerate one, likely with all the settings back to normal.

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?

I've just tried it and it's had no effect. I don't think it's to do with the Normal.dot template but rather a setting within Word itself.

Click in the empty gray space before/after/between pages to turn on or off the "Hide white space" feature.
