So I guess my dad is getting me Battle for Skull Pass for christmas! Or, has hinted heavily that "Santa" will be bringing it to me.


Santa is a good dude, and I did not know he worked for Games Workshop!

What games do you play? What do you enjoy most about the hobby, the prohibitive expense or the mind-numbing fury of being a shitty painter/modeler?

    When Curt Schilling took over, they put out 8,000 fucking packages. I can't even imagine how he's going to run a MMO.

    Why the hell would you not give a person all the rules with one set?

    Besides that, ASL is the most complicated game I have ever played in my life.

    I was wondering when the toy soldier thread would come back

    Here's a Flames of War story I heard somewhere for pip

I don't really play there that often, so I don't know the people, but I set up a game on the store's forum against a guy with a German army.     He sets up his German army. But, as he repeatedly reminded me, not just any old Wermacht unit. No, these were Einsatzgruppen D troops. Big swastikas on everything, blah blah blah.     I walked out. Haven't even reopened the box of models - that little interlude just killed any interest I had in the game.

    the current metagame is so stupidly imbalanced right now, that unless you play one of maybe 4 armies, don't even bother in anything other than friendly games
