Running a contest. Need opinions on prizes.

Morning guys,

Just to jump right in, I am running a contest on my website and I am debating between what prizes I should offer. The website is WoW themed so I thought I should go with some World of Warcraft items. Also, I want the prize to be tantalizing enough to attract a good number of new members.

SO far, these are the prizes I am considering:


1. Warcraft 3 Action Figure: Furion Stormrage - still in it's packaging.
2. Warcraft 3 Action Figure - Thrall - Still in original packaging
3. Legendary Edition Wrath of the Lich King Stein - the one made by the website on the WoW page
4. 60 Day game-time cards.

Which would you all prefer? And, if none of those, what kind of prizes would you recommend?

How about that new mouse with the keypad on the side? The Naga, I think. It looks pretty sweet and might make a nice grand prize or something.

Nice! I hadn't looked at that. I'll go google it and see pricing for it.

The Steins are a pretty good idea. I secretly want one, but I'd never pay for it.

Maybe get your hands on some of the card game item codes? Other sites do that, and everyone wants those things.

I'll try that as well. As a little goofy advertisement, I have been hosting Foam Sword Battles in Dalaran with complimentary Brewfest Beer and Goblin Gumbo. People seem to really enjoy them and are a bit more ameniable to checking out the website afterwards. Heh.

Oh, also: What do you all think of giving the winner of the contest the choice between the selected prize options? That way a hardcore gamer can choose the mouse, or the classic collector can choose the stein?
