So me and my friend mark were jamming. And then, this commercial comes on.
"SUPER MARIO BROS WII! GET IT NOW!"
We got way toooo excited. Called up the local gamestop all,
"DO YOU HAVE THIS. IS IT THERE."
"Yes sir, it is in stock."
"WE'LL BE OVER IN A SECOND"
and so we were.
I walk in the store.
"WHERE IS IT"
and they ring it up immediately. My voice is pretty distinguished.
And then we played it.
Best game EVER.

And I find myself wondering why the fuck I should care about this guy and his mundane experiences with Mario over the course of his life.
I don't have a Wii, and the number of friends who haven't sold theirs is dwindling... I hope I get a chance to play this at some point!

I'm not sure if this is true or not but it's still a pretty excellent game with a much better title

ACII looks like fun but I'm always hesitant to buy action/adventure games. I tend to play them once and then they sit there on my shelf. Mario on the other hand looks like a lot of fun, especially the multiplayer, and you can always pop a Mario game in a run through a couple of levels.

Counter is definitely the best option for anything.
That said I'm going to play the rest of the game being creative and see if that makes it better.

If they did you'd constantly get the guy who plays through the first quarter of the level then drops, forcing the rest of you out of the game. Just like castle crashers. Damn the online for that sucked bad.
Not that it happens much anymore.
It's like having to call your friends while you play a MMORPG with them because the devs didn't want to put the time and energy into handling the potential asshat or two.

is it just me or is this game really really fun and then really really fucking irritating at the same time?
Battles must have taken you for-fucking-ever if you were just waiting for dudes to attack you so you could counter. The game had a pretty decent battle system outside of the counters, though admittedly they were just way overpowered. I like the idea that the deadlier the weapon, the stricter the counter timing however.
Anyways, AC2 rules so far. AC1 was a game I loved despite its numerous flaws. AC2 is a game I love that just really feels like a damn good game so far.
