Jock on Detective has me relieved, I hadn't looked at Jan's solicits but am looking forward to his take on this. JH Williams will be missed though

Williams is still doing the covers so Jock's probably just doing a fill-in. Not a bad choice though, if my memory serves me right he has a similar type of style to JH Williams.

Futt Bucker: Yes, we did. You really have to wonder how terrible the memories are at DC...

Oh I know, Jock is pretty talented in his own right and I LOVED Green Arrow: Year One but Williams and Rucka on Detective has been legendary. Just didn't want to see it break up so soon.

Editors were too busy tweeting about a girl being in DC's offices and missed that.

Or maybe Keith Giffen put that on the script on purpose to see what kind of geniuses were editing him.

I thought Williams would still be the Detective artist but they would rotate between Question and Batwoman having the main/backup stories to reduce Williams' page count and keep him monthly?

Also, Mon-El and Kon-El look too similar.

That sounds pretty cool when you put it that way. I now expect/want March to draw a Charlie's Angels-like cover.

And hopefully Dini retcons what Daniels is doing to the Riddler right away.

    Should be February 2010 solicits.

Also, I think DC is overestimating the demand for JSA material that isn't written by Geoff Johns.

And they didn't need a BN ring tie in like REBELS did, so boom!

FABLES is one of my favorite books, and I've enjoyed the work Sturges has done on HOUSE OF MYSTERY, but goddamn if I wouldn't trade every JSA series they've got solicited for another ten issues of REBELS. And you just fucking know they're going to cancel REBELS by issue #15 or so, which is a complete shame - its a fun 'island' book that's just off in its own corner doing its own thing.

It dropped by another 3,000 sales in October though, so it's down to 44,000 now. The question is whether it'll continue to decline at that rate or not, and how well another spin-off title will perform, with Magog and Power Girl (unfortunately) not doing very well just a few issues in.

I should start reading REBELS, I guess

I read the first issue and had no clue what was going on at all, so I never really bothered with it afterwards

Outside of two issues of Batman and Robin, I don't see much that excites me.

Well I supposed the team up in Brave and the Bold is awesome, but so were the other JMS team ups, and those have been let downs.

You really should, it's pretty awesome. It's probably in my top three books at the moment (alongside Batman and Robin and Madame Xanadu).

Speaking of REBELS, I really wish they'd put John Stewart in there. It's not like Johns is using him for anything interesting at the moment and they could then market REBELS as part of the Green Lantern 'family'.

It kinda sucks to have to incorporate independent stories into popular franchises just so they can survive. I know it's necessary, but I'd take LA-based Manhunter over Gotham-based Manhunter

Why the fuck would anyone ever become Gotham's DA? I think that's the bigger issue.

    Aspirations of super-villainy?

Aside from the usual stuff I buy, I may have to pick up Azrael just for Ragman's appearance, but that story synopsis seems like it's veering dangerously close to becoming a PSA.

Superman/Batman's retooling just sounds weird and well, kinda dumb.

The Hourman/Liberty Belle co-feature in JSA All-Stars may actually get me to buy that book. I like Sturges and all, but most of those characters are just really unappealing to me.

Cry for Justice seems to be hinting at bad things down the road for Ollie. Given how Didio's been talking about how he's a character to watch, I have to wonder if he's doomed.

But hey, there are TPBs and hardcovers of Hardware, JLI Vol. 4, Mysterius, and Wednesday Comics coming out, and I can finally buy that Jason Todd Batman action figure and Sexy Natasha Irons statue I never wanted!

The idea is to build up a post history (most likely by copy/pasting the posts of other people from other, more obscure and/or shitty forums) and then once they feel they've reached a post count that makes them seem non-robotic drop some links. They could even be non-robots that are simply employed shills. The same tactics apply.
