Random Request (Wii Microphone?)

Trying to put together a Wii Rock Band gaming session with pieces left by various roommates.

Unfortunately, no one left a mic.

Done several searches for a wireless mic, but it seems they either don't make it, or they're charging $80 bucks.

And there are no wired mics that specifically say that they're Rock Band compatible. So that's also a little worrisome.

Am I looking in all the wrong places, as usual? Or is this really an item that doesn't exist? I can't imagine people's mics have survived this long. Doesn't anyone own curious and chew-happy dogs?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Some people get pictures... All I've got are words. Letters and numbers and exclamation points!

I didn't know that. Can you use a USB mic in place of wii speak, by any chance?

No idea. I don't own a Wii but I do know that for Guitar Hero/Rock Band, USB mics will work on the Wii/PS3/360.
If you're going wireless, it varies from console to console and you're most likely going to find overpriced first or third party wireless mics.

So does this mean if, say, I've got 2 mics for my 360 Rock Band and my friend has 1 for his Wii setup, he can bring over his mic and we can use all 3 for Beatles?

If it's USB then it should work. I've used all sorts of things for BRB.

    Awes, thank you all.

It just seemed like, "this is something they could definately screw us on," so the information is very much appreciated.

Just an FYI, I've not tried just a normal USB mic yet but I can say that mic / headphone combos do not work.
I tried to use my old PS2 Socom headset and got nothing from it.

I'd also like to know what mics work.
Anyone have links (say amazon) to mics that are known for sure work?

360 headset will work, 360 wireless mic will work, any USB microphone will work. Wiispeak will not work.
