I saw it last night and it was awesome.
All the interesting direction, music montages, and humor of a Wes Anderson film and no one is so depressed in it they want kill themselves.
They kept the original story and only expanded on it a bit with some themes more common to other Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach movies.
George Clooney plays the eponymous Mr. Fox and he fits dialogue like a glove.
He's given up chicken stealing to settle down with Meryl Streep and raise their son but now he's having a mid-life crises and his son has grown up grumpy, uncoordinated and eccentric.
So he decides to start stealing again from the worst, most successful farmers around
and we get lots of heist film hijinks mixed with family drama and personal growth messages all delivered by wild animals. It's great, everyone should go see it.

and kind of jerky from what i've seen
But the puppets don't have a lot of articulation so they bend around a lot
They're not made of plasticine either so you can see their fur ruffle in between shots
