I put my GC and some games and additional stuff like 2 donkey conga controllers and the microphone from Odama on ebay today, starting at 1 euro, running for 1 week.

I now got a pm from a potential buyer, asking me if I might want to cancell the auction and sell it and to name my price, so please tell me what would be fair for a GC with 14 games memory card, regular controller and the aforementioned special controllers....games are:

Legend of Zelda - Wind Waker, Pikmin, Eternal Darkness - Sanity's Requiem, Resident Evil Zero, Metroid Prime, Odama, Paper Mario, Geist, 007, the Incredibles, 2 x Donkey Conga(1 new and still wrapped), Need for Speed Underground, Star Wars - Rebell Strike

Some of those games are still with the Club Nintendo stars and all are in good condition.

I would like to settle this with a potential buyer for a fair price and not wait and see how the auction goes, I am thinking at least 175 Euro or maybe even 200.....am I too greedy?

It's at 0, which means I could withdraw it and make a deal with the potential buyer(I only put it up a couple of hours ago)

I dunno, that sounds a bit fishy. I've heard stories of people doing a similar thing and then finding out the interested buyer was some Nigerian or some such. Did his PM seem normal in writing/punctuation?

The "end this auction early and name your price" line is a classic opening of a forwarding scam. He will pay you with a check that's worth way more than what you're asking to "cover shipping", then ask you to wire the remaining money back to him along with sending the stuff. Your bank will then realize days later that the check he gave you is fake and hold you responsible for it.
And as an aside, asking $350-$400 for ten used Cube games and hardware is a bit much. I could see that going for maybe $100 or so, likely less. Then again I don't know what the European used game economy is like so I'd take a look at ended gamecube+games auctions and try to gauge what you should be selling your stuff for through that.

it's also the means by which i've furnished half of my apartment

it's certainly not necessarily a scam

It is when you want to pull the sale outside the scope of an Ebay auction and circumvent Ebay's various protection policies.

Yeah, offer to withdraw it and relist it on ebay with a buy it now price and with paypal as the only accepted payment method, even still I'd be a bit careful it seems fishy. As he could always argue that the good arrived in poor condition and claim money back.

Yes, and if he suddenly backs out you're no worse for wear.
