Wait a sec. If that mod can jump between two maps that represent times of day, just think of the possibilities. Time travel game play where actions in the past reflect into the future/present.

Dude has a Delorean in the game. Player gets into the Delorean and guns it up to 88MPH, flash bang wizzam he transports into the past (the map changes from nighttime to daytime). Dude can then turn around and gun it back to 88MPH again and flash bang wizzam he is back in the future.

Guy guns it up to 88MPH and drives up a ramp, bails out of the car just before it jumps through time, then runs to the other side of the ramp and a minute later the car flash bang wizzam appears, complete with strange ice coating the car like in the movie.

The modmaker went so far as to model the gauges in the car to reflect the time and date of the first jump in the movie, and the flames left behind on the ground from the tires.

    It's pretty cool.

It's the DeLorean from Back to the Future and it's really well done.

I'm pretty sure that Crysis can change between day and night. Because it does so in the first level (which is in the demo).

Kind of interesting I guess, but it would be nice for the thread title to say what game is being modded and what sort of mod it is.

I'm not terribly enamored with BttF so it was basically a waste of time.

I suspect some camera trickery here, I can't see anyone having a rig powerful enough to actually load from one location to a different one that fast in Crysis and not have texture pop in or loading lag. I think it's the jump animation just triggers a time of day change. Though I have no idea whats going on in the jump at the end of the video.

It's just a movie. Some people like them and some people don't.

And this has been done before, it's a very famous car. Yes, we know what it does. Yes, we like talking about the jiggawatts. Awesome.

Yeah, I think it's cool cause I'm a BTTF fan, but until it has a practical use. Maybe you can go back in time during a MP game and murder your enemies before they murder you.

I did that on Newgg, yes. Oddly, Amazon was giving me 1 result that was just a picture of Maximum and another actual product page for Maximum that said it wasn't available. Now, of course, it's a perfectly working page as the first result for a search for "Crysis". Stupid site!

There were Back to The Future video games, I had BttF 2 and 3 on my C64. They were awful.

There need to be GOOD BttF games on the 360 and PS3. Then the Wii can get a version based on the cartoon.
Though I would kill to be able to use the Balance Board as a Hover Board
