I just got a new game (Football Manager 2010), but after installing it through steam when I click on it to start I get the message "The instruction at 0x013e90d0 referenced memory at 0x00000060. The mempry could not be read."
Anyone have any ideas to fix this, i tried uninstalling it and re-installing, restarting steam, installing it from disk rather than through steam, but nothing is working.
Did you try running the Steam check on the game? There's a check cached version button or something on the game entry in Steam. I had a weird crash on L4D2 that this fixed.

1) go to the games website/forum and post a troubleshoot thread there.
2) stop, quit or close all other nonessential programs and try to run it.
other than that, I don't know. there may be a problem with the locality/version of the game but I can't see how that could happen.
1) Yeah done that, been helpfully told that they havent seen that error message before so to try re-installing it.
2) Again no dice.
Cheers anyway.
