FF3 (DS version) Help [lock me]

I'm playing FF3, and I wanted to use the enchanter class, but the problem is that even after the 10 battles to convert classes, I can't enchant anything.

How/when is this useful? When can I enchant? What can I enchant? I'm so confused.

Any help would be good.

    There's a really good thread in G&T about FF3 with advice and spoilers. I'd try posting in that thread for help.
