One of these days I will actually survive the Parish finale instead of watching others make it to safety. One of these days...
The only time I made it I just ran like Forrest Gump leaving my friend and the two bot teammates to handle all the danger. It was splitscreen on the 360 and ended in some awkward silence.
Where is the first L4D supposed to be set? Like, they pretty clearly state where L4D2 is going on, but I've got zero clue where the first one is supposed to be.

Also, even if you don't have a mic, listen to the people that do have a mic! I usually end up screaming down the mic cos I asked someone to follow me, and then they just run off in the opposite direction as if they saw something shiny down the dark enclosed corridor and then they get there and it usually ends up being a hunter pummelling them. Brilliant work.
About tank movement, has anyone else noticed that when he switches targets, he sometimes appears to walk backwards / sideways for a bit? This really throws my movement off, I almost always realize to late he's coming towards me now.
An other minor gripe is that the reload sound on the military sniper is about 0.3s shorter then the actual reload time. Far to often I reload it, hear *click click*, switch to reload my magnum... only to notice my sniper is still at 0 bullets.
Doesn't mean the game isn't 99% awesome though. I loved last nights PA VS Parish. Especially how Rochelle was abandoned to die on the doorstep of the saferoom. Early closed door+hunter (Which i think blocked re-opening the door) + spiiter + boomer.

He used to do that in the first game. In L4D2 though he changes targets more regularly since once someone's down, he doesn't just pummel on them, he immediately switches to the next target.

The licence plates are from Pennsylvania.
It's in PA. There's a specific Mercy Hospital out there they had in mind, and if you listen to some of the added dialogue from Crash Course, Francis thinks they're in Canada and the others keep correcting him saying they're in Pennsylvania.

Steam >steamapps > common > Left 4 Dead 2 > Left4Dead2 > Sound > Music > flu > Concert
Replace the files with whatever you want, as long as it's .wav and keeps the same file name. Remember to backup or rename the original files so they don't get lost.
Also, the Tank spawn gets its own rock versions for that finale, which can be found in:
Sound > Music > Tank
The files you want are midnighttank.wav and onebadtank.wav.
Would changing the music in the game violate the sv_forceconsistancy var on servers?
yeah the tank running backwards is a bit strange, I wonder why they haven't fixed that. It tries to trick you by running at someone while facing another. It's good that he doesn't pummel an incapped player now though.
Does anyone know if you set the tank alight with a molotov if it actually affects it health this time? in L4D1 it had a seperate health bar kind of thing for fire.

Same here. Gets a bit annoying after a while, still haven't gotten used to it yet.

Setting tanks on fire affects their health, at least in VS mode. I think it's the same for AI, anyway.
Not only tanks run backwards and punch backwards, all infected do. I swear three Chargers have incapped me while facing an opposite wall, and at least one Spitter managed to hit my with an acid ball while facing the other way.

They did this in l4d1 in versus, where fire affected the health bar, but in campaign AI, if you set the tank alight, it wouldnt affect the health of it, instead it would have a timer where if it was still alive and burning after say 60 seconds, it would die no matter the health. Dunno if thats still the case now or not. Seemed a strange way of conducting it imo. I was going to link to a steam forum post about it but I can't find it anymore /searchfail

They didn't even need to stay on fire in L4D1. Once the timer ticked down, they'd die anyway. It was very strange.
Speaking about tanks on fire, noticed a bug in versus yesterday.
When you fire at a tank with incendiary ammo, the flames will douse after a few moments. However it will also remove fire that was brought upon the tank with a molotov.
I'm not sure yet if incendiary ammo will cancel fire if the molotov 'was first'.
Oh, as a charger I had a GREAT moment in Parish. You know the pool hall? And how there's an open window on the top floor just before the exit? I spawned in the next room just as they were approaching, darted out in front of them, grabbed aneurhythmia and shot out the building.

I love when you barely get out of there alive spamming every item you have at the end.
Is it going to be 30 bucks on steam
Or am I getting an American friend to snag me a copy
I really need to figure out why l4d2 keeps crashing on my computer, because it sucks

I just had that happen. But it was on advanced so I don't feel so bad.
Don't play this game without a mic.
Don't do it.
What the Hell even happened?

Like, by the time I typed out "hungered" and then "huntered" I was dead.
Ha, a friend posted that on Facebook today.
Nice avatar, by the way.
Most interestingly would be damage/spread on the submachine guns and shotguns. Would be fun to know swings peed/damage on the melee as well.
The Assault Rifles are different enough to be good or weak depending on play style anyway.
[EDIT] I should learn how to google before I start writing shit. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1013160
You can play the game and get the gnome out and carry him to the safe room but he doesn't stay into the next level.

Seriously.
You can already use whatever songs you want for the concert finale. Someone in the last thread changed it to Queen IIRC.

Which files, exactly, do we need to replace? With the amount people do DCa, I'd like to switch the music up sometimes.
From memory, Steamapps/Common/Left4Dead2/Left4Dead2/Sound/Music/
And then either
Flu/Concert/OneBadMan or MidnightRiders
and/or
Tank/OneBadTank or MidnightTank.

I've played it a little bit. It's a lot like how it was in L4D1.
