Had that happen to a teammate in a realism hard rain game out in the corn field. It scared the shit out of me. Heard the charger sound and turned to fire just as my teammate was dragged off into the distance. Right out of a horror movie.

Pro tip: Shooting fire ammo at a witch who is already chasing someone will cause her to change targets.
Fire from any source causes her to target whoever lit her. There was a witch in the distance, so we set up a gas can and someone else on my team shot the witch while I shot the can. When she ran through the flames she re-aggo'd on me and killed me.
What you can't see in that video is that the smoker had his tongue around the Charger, and then reeled him on in once he had his catch.

Special Challenge: Get the gunshop owner's hat.
Holy shit, just yesterday I was looking for videos of that. Will we ever know why he can't stop scratching himself?

Had the same thing happen on Parish Expert last night.
Witch was aggro'd by someone, we all shot her, but I had incendiary ammo. She killed the person who aggro'd her, ran outside, and then decided to run back in and kill me while my teammates were defibrillating the first dead guy.
Also I'm liking the Ithaca shotty a lot more after using it a bit, it works better when teamed with the DE. The spread on it causes it to hit 4 zombies or so a shot and since you have the deagle you really don't need to use it long range like you had to in L4D.

I remember that (I was poonja, which is my brothers account). I recall your hatred of Witch double dipping. I also remember the tank incapping someone with concrete through the car which was really funny to see.

Has anyone else killed a zombie by jumping on its head? I swear this has happened on more than one occasion to more than one person I was playing with.

Joined a random game last night, and entered the losing side of a game. My teammates were quiet and seperated, but when I suggested some strats they willingly followed me. In spite of my terrible decision-making, we ended up winning a few games, and worked quite nice as a team by the end.
The way this game can make a decent team out of 4 disorganized guys is quite amazing...
In other news, the charger is my favorite SI, but I pretty much suck at playing him. Sometimes the charger seemingly takes huge steps to avoid hitting the survivor in my path o_O
I guess I shouldn't charge from the sides until his hitbox is a tad less crazy
Edit: hunter-barrel-rolls are the best - happened to me twice as a hunter yesterday, and allowed a much faster recovery than a usual melee would.
So how many people still play L4D1? Is it fruitless to try to get anything left out of it (I never played any of the new maps/modes)?
Right now you'll have minimal luck, if any, getting people. Once the New Game Fervor dies down a bit, I'm sure you can grab at least enough people to try out some of the L4D1 content you missed.
You can play the old maps on L4D2. You have to bear in mind that they weren't designed with either the spitter, charger or jockey in mind, but because of the director that shouldn't make a difference.

yeah, I imagine people would want to return to the first game after burning out on the new stuff. hopefully there won't be too many discrepancies/missed features

Do you know such a mod? The current state of the "L4D1 in L4D2" mods I do know of all appear to crash or have assorted bugs.

I'm not sure I can play L4D1 again now that I've played 2. More than any other reason due to the clang sound of the frying pan. If there is a sound in any game that is more satisfying than that one, I have yet to hear it.

I hopped on it with the hopes of getting a good game in, seeing as how I don't own L4D2 at the moment.
Biggest mistake ever. While there were idiots in L4D prior to L4D2's release, most of the non-idiots have left for greener pastures, and L4D has just become a shit hole. A black empty abyss of suck.

Sigh, just got this game and it's crashing to desktop right after the intro. Supposedly it has to do with a recent update or some new sort of DRM? I'm pretty pissed. :x

I went on to L4D1 just to feel its age after playing 2 so much. I hit quick play and it was full of russian players.

If only this was an achievement like the one in Borderlands.
Do I have to actually earn a medal or just get 4 minutes on any map?
