The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
This was such a heavy week! Pretty much everything I read was good. So, instead of scanning in the entirety of Giant Size Thor Finale, I present to you why I love Rogue and her powers are the best.
If you've read last issue, you know that the Predators have breached Utopia. While the X-Men are dealing with the other four or five, one goes missing. It ends up finding it's way to where Rogue and the younger mutants are trying to stay safe. Rogue decides to deal with it.

I haven't been following along, but...
Isn't Batman not dead, just in the past? I thought that's where the Omega Sanction or whatever Darkseid hit him with sent him. Have they explained that, or is it just "And now for absolutely no reason... BATMANS!"?

Nekron says:
"You have served your purpose, 'Bruce Wayne.' Back to rest." He then severs the connection.
I'm pretty sure that makes it clear that he knows it isn't Bruce, and that it isn't Bruce. 1) Why the fuck wouldn't you want Batman on your side when you just co-opted Ollie for f's sakes? 2) The entire point of using "Bruce" seemed entirely predicated on creating the Emotional Tether ("Emotional Tether Registered" BL caption comes up repeatedly) with the other heroes who've come back from the dead.
While they may be Guardians, I thought that these were technically all new guardians, the only hold over from the original regime would be Ganthet, the rest being created when Kyle restarted the central battery after he shed his ION energy.
Then again, I don't really know if they treated that as a resurrection, or rebirth, or what, all i know is that they had to start again as babies, so it feels different from what we normally take as a comic book resurrection.
Can someone explain the last page of Dark Wolverine to me?
She had onebullet left. Daken told her to kill herself or he would. You see she had no intention of doingit because the bullet is in the sink. Wehther Daken let her live because of her letting him live or not is left ambiguous and up to the reader (or until next month if its followed up on). Blood in the sink could indicate he killed her though.

Ares #2 is so far my favorite issue of the week, and Gillen is becoming a writer who I will buy based on name alone.
Because you can tell the creative team is having fun with the story, like so:
And on top of that Ares talks about all the historical places and events he was at (he fought at Stalingrad but with the Germans), as well as movie references about the Greek Gods. Good, good stuff.

all the lanterns recite their oaths at the same time to recharge. In darkest day, in blackest night etc etc.
Larfleeze's oath/ reaction to this - "eh?"
Nice oath buddy.

FF #573 was a letdown compared to Hickman's first three issues despite the excellent cover, because it hinges heavily on Millar's run and those Fantastic Force heroes from the future who I had no idea about in the book. Val is also becoming annoying thanks to writers making her smarter every issue (Layla Miller annoying), But this was one nice page that made me smile, and needs no context at all. Probably my favorite single page this month:
so i haven't read criminal yet, but my moment is Chew vol. 1 being really really good. way better than the premise gives it any right to be. it's very well written, interesting, the art is great, and i genuinely didn't see the final twist coming. thumbs way up!

cause its awesome
"I think I saw this on a Saturday Morning Cartoon Show"
"Me Too..."
Nice.
scan some thor please!
Respect for Rogue grows.
spider-man will probably have something to say about THAT
Its too bad that art is by Greg Land. Just think how more awesome it would be if the Dodsons did it.
Then I saw the first panel of the second page.
I'm just pleasantly surprised Land didn't trace a picture of an orgy for that panel.

I was this close to making the thread title, "Kids. TOUCH ME."
Is something supposed to happen? I feel like something should be happening.
You have to do the Hal Jordan crazy face with appropriate hand posture

But seriously, Rogue without her Ms Marvel power-set sucks.
that was actually pretty cool
Duh, you're inherently cancelling things out. You've got the Black balanced by the Light, the Yellow balanced by Green, the Blue balanced by Red.

But that is an awesome splash though jesus christ, they are fucked.

Green Ring I guess. Wielder of the light and all that.
Its just a corpse with an AI.
Because he is?
Look at the last two panels there.

Read KVW's scan.
Yeah since the last two panels were kinda squished I only skimmed them without really processing what was going on.
