Okay, so something terrible happened to my car interior recently. I won't get into details about my stupidity, but, suffice to say, the floor of my car (in two places) was on the receiving end of a fair amount of sparkling wine (specifically the sweeter Asti). I soaked up much of it with paper towels shortly after the incident, but I know I wasn't able to get all of it.
Now, the interior of the car smells like a mix of white wine and formaldehyde. In other words, it smells HORRIBLE!
Any suggestions as to how to get rid of that smell? I'm considering taking it to a car wash where they also do interior detailing, etc, to see if they can clean it, but are there any easy home remedies? FYI - Febreeze does nothing except add to the horrible smell.
"Damn you and your Daily Doubles, you brigand!"
I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
I don't know why I don't think of these things! I'll have to make a trip to the store, as, oddly enough, I don't seem to have either baking soda or vinegar. How irritating.
Thanks for the replies, guys.

once it's clean, drive around with the windows down to try and air out the car.
throw some baking soda down after your trip. Make sure that there's no vinegar left over first.
if that doesn't work, get carpet cleaner or something
