When your overhead is only 5 fellows in a basement, some big-name titles doing full site banners is bound to pull in a profit. Dragon Age, Gears of War 2, ODST, and the Watchmen DVD are all that I can remember, there's been so few.
5 dudes in a basement that kick the asses of any of the big game websites I can think of. They produce better video content, better reviews and have the best podcast. Giant Bomb is fantastic.
My god, I'm watching the GB quick look for Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust, winner of the Worst Game of the Year award for 2009.
"
I am laughing so hard at the inanity of the game and how Ryan and Jeff are "laughing" at the game.
All of their Quick Looks are gold. There's a list on their site of Brad's fastest Quick Look start to character death times (the current being New Super Mario Bros Wii at 13 seconds), which makes me love that site even more.
Personal favorite quick looks include:
Rogue Warrior - For rampant cursing
Bayonetta - For what the fuck is up with Japan craziness
New Super Mario Bros Wii - For the sheer chaos that game causes/exudes
Leisure Suit Larry - You can feel their pain
...and the rest.
I've never considered any particular website my "go-to" for video game reviews and discussion until Giant Bomb. I don't even look at the other ones (besides PA obviously) anymore.
EDIT: Forgot to include favorite Ryan quote from a podcast that went something like: "You're going to sit there and tell me that a Renny Harlin movie is better than a John McTiernan movie. The man directed Predator! Goddamnit! You are all assholes and I don't want to work with you anymore."
Man, that 4 hour GOTY podcast really made the trip home fly by. Listening to it made me even sadder I have not picked up either Batman or Uncharted 2. It also convinced me getting Silent Hill for the Wii will be worth it.
All in all, it was fun to hear how they narrow and focus their choices. Definately stay away from it if you want to avoid some spoilers, though.
I liked the ArmA 2 QL because of how totally bewildered they are by the game. Though they do acknowledge that the game was not built with them in mind as an audience.
There's some good discussion on the show, the production values are excellent, and there's been a steady stream of interesting guests in the past year.
Ralph Baer (the father of the modern video game console in the Magnavox Odyssey), Nolan Busnell (the founder of Atari) Walter Day, Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe have all been on the show. Plus tons of other Movers and Shakers in the video game industry, past and present.
Overall, it's a pretty top notch show. Definitely worth a look.
I must add on to the Giant Bomb love because I was turned on to them early this year and I have never looked back. I'm on Episode 57 of their Endurance Run of P4 and I highly recommend it for anyone who does video gaming. This Bombcast was probably their best podcast of the year as it was getting two people drunk enough and talking about their experiences with video gaming industry. I must also say that Jeff Gerstmann is probably the most non douchey gaming journalist in the entire industry. And that Dave guy is pretty swell as well. :P
Don't even have to look at the link to know it's Adam Boyes' and John Vignocchi's visit to the Bombcast in October. It was a golden epiosde, truly. Good news is that Johnny V is now a big time producer at Disney Interactive.
If you're looking for some other great developer podcasts, check out the '08 E3 Bombcasts. Skip the one where Leigh Alexander is being loud, obnoxious, overbearing and very drunk. Actually, just skip them all except for the final one because it has Paul Barnett telling crazy fucked up stories about E3 shennanigans.

1st bolded for Good news to hear.
2nd bolded for something to do after watch episode 57 of the Endurance Run.
Anyone else really despise the music for 4 Guys 1 Up? Especially the break music with the dumbass spanish guitar.
Kind of? I was never a huge fan of 1up yours so the only 4G1U I've listened to was the recent one where they talked at length about ME2 and the one with Jeff Green. I noticed that the music was subpar, but wasn't really annoyed by it, but I can see how you might be if you listened to it every week.
Talking about that, how long has it been since the last Out of the Game?
It's not perfect, but I enjoy it most of the time and I look forward to new episodes. N'Gai gets on my nerves, and Shawn Elliott is not as funny as he was on the Brodeo, but I still like Robert Ashley, and I'll listen to anything Jeff Green does. Even the EA podcast.
Shawn Elliott needs a direct audience to work his magic. There were a few video recorded GFW's, including the their final episode, and you can really tell he feeds off the face-to-face reaction of the co-hosts.
N'gai is terrible because he speaks as slow as fucking possible. And never gets to his point. Shawn is sometimes guilty of topic-meandering as well, but at least his stories and tangents are funny to listen to.
Luke Smith has died in the eyes of OOTG.
As for 4Guys1UP... the name indicates how you'll probably feel for the show. Ellis needs to get his shit together as a host.

I really enjoyed the Leigh Alexander cast. It was like listening to a trainwreck for 2 hours.
That's the chick from Gamasutra, right? That was bitching to the Capcom America guy about the lack of boning in Resident Evil?
That was hilarious to listen to, since that Capcom guy has been pretty all-around awesome every time I've seen/heard him, and I can completely visualize him trying to keep a pleasant face up while getting her to please pipe down a bit DEAR GOD WOMAN HUSH.
I've suddenly gotten into a video game podcasting slump, and not of it really interests me at the moment. Is Geekbox, RebelFM, and GamersWithJobs still good?

I want OOTG to end so Jeff Green would have time to do a full time gaming podcast besides the EA thing. of course it looks like that may come to pass. The most recent OOTG episode was out on 12/2. If ever win the lottery I'll re-start CGW and hire Jeff Green, Shawn Elliott, Robert Ashley, and whoever they want for fourth chair just so they can go back to reviewing games and making awesome podcasts.
I guess I'm still the only one who loves the Joystiq podcast. They opened their Christmas episode with a full length R&B song about Santa and egg nog, complete with auto tune vocals.

I haven't listened to Gamers With Jobs in about six months, but I checked out the latest episode the other day, and I thought it was okay. I don't know, they have a good dynamic, but their discussions still aren't that interesting. I'm torn on whether or not I'd put it above the Geekbox...
... which still has a good core crew, but they have the most aggravating guests on. For example, I think it was two or three episodes ago, they had Jade Kraus and Justin Haywald on, absolutely tearing into Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and it was just enormously painful to listen to. Neither of them could quantify their own opinions without sounding like spoiled children. Since they often have different people on, it happens occasionally. I really like the fact that they go beyond just games, though they can come across as overly opinionated sometimes. They also eat during the podcast, which I personally consider a cardinal sin.
RebelFM is... eeh. It has its good and bad episodes, but here's a case of a podcast that really needs more guests. Other than Matt Chandronait. I think Tyler Barber is a cool dude, so I'm glad they at least got another regular, but something is still missing from the core lineup here. Game Club is a really great idea, though.

I AM THE BIGGEST SILENT HILL FAN EVAR, AND THIS GAME IS BEYYYYAAAAAAAAAD. LISTEN TO ME FOR 30 MINUTES GO ABLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
It was pretty annoying, because her justification was that it was not as good as Silent Hill 2, and Wii controls are too hard. At least that's all I heard before I skipped ahead to Ryan Scott complaining about Star Trek fanbois attacking him.
Look out for Geekbox and Gamespy Debriefings - They've become the 'let's defend our journalistic integrity because the mean internet people on dirty internet forums don't like what we say'. Podcasts do this far too often.

Man, Joystiq Podcast used to be my favorite until their L4D2 review and the constant bitching about it on the podcast has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I've barely been in any kind of mood to listen to them since then.
Once in a while I'll throw on an old GFW podcast, if anything, just for Shawn. Some of the tangents are worth sitting the other stuff, and Heroes of the Web will always have a place in my heart. Plus, if it weren't for him, I probably would have never seen the glory that is "American Movie".

But it was just one week, they haven't really mentioned it since then. I love that podcast too much to give it up after just one irritating segment. Every now and then Chris goes off on something and it'll ruin a podcast, but there's always next week.
Maybe it's a meme I missed, so I feel I should ask here.
What's with the Luchador Deer on Giant Bomb? The Lucha-Deer?
I don't really know the answer, but knowing their sense of humor, they probably think luchadors are awesome and someone at the office accidentally said "luchadeer" and they thought that was even better.
Sort of like how at PAX, someone asked the Giant Bomb panel if they could change the front page to say "The largest edible game database" instead of "editable." They kept the change for a few weeks.

Okay, cause it's in the background cartoon of the GB gang, and I've been watching episodes of TANG and the deer appears in the movies as well.
Luchadeer has never been explained to my knowledge. They just had the deer and luchador mask in the office I guess. The only reasonable thing to do was to put it on the deer.
They show the deer sitting on the couch in episode 5 of how to build a bomb. Then in episode 6 it's wearing the mask.

They probably got it from the same place they got their flea couch.
I pretty much only listen to the Bombcast regularly now. Every so often I'll grab a RebelFM.
The death of Idle Thumbs was a giant blow. That was by far the best gaming podcast I've ever listened to. The lack of Idle Thumbs is even worse than the absence of Brodeo.
