Buying US goods online, shipping to New Zealand

Howdy,

Whilst New Zealand is, for the most part, a paradise on Earth where hobbits and elves gambol merrily amongst gumdrop trees and bubblegum skies, there are a few areas in which it lacks.

Namely, cool stuff. I'm talking Slankets, gaming headphones for the Xbox - the stuff of which the geek desires and covets.

So - the Internetz is the logical place to turn. What I'd like to ask you fine folks - and specifically, the non-US residents - is which are the best / most comprehensive / competitive sites for shipping stuff internationally? Obviously Amazon is up there, but what of the others? What sites fulfil your darkest cravings for stuff that you can't get in Hobbiton?

    I've never tried it but check out this site - http://buyusa.co.nz/, gives you a US delivery address and they will ship stuff to you.

    Yeah, the Ape is good but the choice is lacking...I can't find anything here that I couldn't get in JB-Hi or EB for chaeper.

    I'm really struggling to find a decent Xbox 360 gaming headset...shipping to NZ is proving a wee bit of a pain!

    For what it's worth amazon.co.uk sometimes has gear that the US site doesn't - and I think it still has the deal whereby if you spend 25 quid or more - shipping is free to NZ. Be careful though, because often stuff I want is sold by someone else through amazon - the free shipping thing doesn't apply here.

    But if it's there, sold by amazon, and the order totals more that about $75NZ - you're sitting pretty.
