Imagine ME2 with actual physics. Not that the PhsyX effects weren't impressive, especially the volumetric fog in the latter levels

I think it would be hilarious if they made ME2 and gave faith a grenade launcher. Be all blasting holes in walls to create paths, and shooting over towers to make ramps and stuff.
I hope they don't actually make the game around this, but maybe a few unlockable levels at the end of the game or something, just for fun.

Thought I greatly enjoyed this on my PS3, I'll probably end up with the PC version this time, since it's going to be a shiny DX10/multicore CPU game on PC. And, well, KBAM and all that.

If the PC version is optimized well I'll pick it up because I hate playing anything in less than 60fps unless absolutely necessary. Also, there's some slight screen tearing when shit gets hectic in the console version
Also, most of the major gaming websites have run out of codes but I haven't checked them all. I know for sure that Gamespot is out but it might be worth a check at some of the other ones.
While it's high, I find it amusing my new PC is still over the recommended specs.
Also - DICE making the new Medal of Honour, and it's modern times? Maybe we'll get a good modern day shooter with really good destructible terrain in single player. And dedicated servers for multiplayer. I can dream, right?

Sounds more like EALA has the SP part and DICE has the MP. Dunno.

What has EALA done, FPS wise?
edit - okay, they did a shitload of MoH games, with the exception of Allied Assault.
Goddamn right. The original Bad Company featured the first ever Battlefield single-player campaign.
Most people would let this slide, but I just can't cos i'm like that. Sorry 8-)
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat on the PS2 and Xbox in 2005 (and then 360, in 2006) was the first. It was pretty awesome too, with hotswapping between troops allowing for some distinctly non-Battlefield like tactics, but a whole load of fun. Well, i liked it. Apparently every other person alive disagreed.
I can't wait for Bad Company 2 though. I've got nothing against the COD games but since the modern warfare transition i've always favoured Battlefield games by a mile. And now they've fully implemented destructibility it can only get better!

No problem. I totally overlooked that because I considered it an abomination unto the Lord.
But I edited the OP
Whoa man, Modern Combat on 360 was awesome. It still has one of the better match finding systems out of most console games. I haven't played it in a few years but I can probaly play Backstab blindfolded. I can still see that map in my mind as if I played it yesterday.

See, this man knows what im talking about that map was godly. And considering it was all anyone ever seemed to play on the damn thing its a good thing, too.
Oh and cheers pyromaniac for satiating my thirst for impeccable accuracy :P
The moment I saw the AC-130 killstreak footage, and the Riot shield teamplay, I was sold for MW2. I had reserved some money to get it, because I skipped MW1.
The moment IW started with the no dedicated server thing, and came up with bullshit excuses, I spent my money on something else.
I now have money saved for when BC2 comes out, I tried the beta on PS3 and I saw just how much potential it had on the PC. I can't wait for this any longer.

It should be mentioned that Battlefield Bad Company (and the sequel from what I've seen of the beta so far) has some of the best sound design I've ever heard in a game.
Cannot be said enough. If they did improve on BC, this'll be fantastic.
March seems too far away.
I have two really memorable instances when gaming with my (rather poor) surround sound system. When I first hooked it up and played morrowind and got the shit scared out of me by the thunder. And the first MP game of BC I played. My windows were rattling, it sounded like artillery was called in on my house. So good.
The beta's pretty great, but im so sick of that single bloody map, that i cant play it anymore.

Dammit thread, I just sent out my copy of Battlefield Bad Company for 360 on Goozex. I've been liquidating my collection in anticipation of a PS3 but I could have held onto it long enough to beat it if I had gotten interest in it again. I just kind of forgot about it.
...Yeah, if the recomended is a quad core and 260, I don't think that it's for running it at 1280x1024 and medium settings. It's probably to run it at 1080p with most of the setting at high/max. Kind of like the recommended stats for dragon age. I mean, it's not like the engine runs on consoles or anything:P

But Bridge Too Far was so much better
I actually booted up Modern Combat a few weeks ago, there was only one room half full, it was kind of depressing.
They were playing Backstab, of course.

Yeah, I have an E8500 3.16 ghz dual core and I'm not at all sure that I'll be able to run this thing
You'll be fine.
You may not be able to play it "well" with high settings at your preferred resolution, but I seriously doubt a second generation Core 2 Duo is going to have much of a problem running the game. You may just have to run it at console resolution.
That said, I have a First Gen Core 2 running at 2.0 Ghz (that's now 3 years old). While it could probably handle it, I'm opting to upgrade my core system components (CPU/MBO/RAM) because I'd like my GTX 260 to actually reach its full potential. Should make this game very, very pretty

Probably just an unlockable with stupid stats. IIRC you could unlock an MG32 in the first game.
I hope it's complete with jamming when at the most inopportune moment followed by their deaths.
And if anyone wants in, watch their twitter (http://twitter.com/OfficialBFBC2), they've been putting codes up fairly often

There's only three people here with it as far as I know, including you and me. If there's more interest I'll start a list.

Oh well, I'll just grab the PS3 version.
Is the jihad jeep back?
It's not Battlefield otherwise ;-)
Do we have a firm ETA on the PC Beta/Demo?
So like, June, I guess.
Quadcore? Uhh will a T9900 do the job?
I meet all the rec'd requirements with the exception of the CPU which I am very confused about

The GTX260 is basically a 9800 with slightly more clocks.
