Is there a way to shrink the size of a linked image with the img tag? I'd like to include my PSN Portable ID in my signature, but it's slightly too tall. I'm trying to shrink it, but the BBcode of:

To the best of my knowledge no there's not.
A problem with a feature like that is that people would take huge images and shrink them down with the tags rather than resizing and rehosting them. That would make them take an appropriate amount of space on the screen, but you'd still have to load a huge file.
While that's already against the rules it's pretty easy for people (specifically mods) to eyeball an image/gif and see whether it's probably 50k or 500k. If people could resize images mods would have to check the size of images individually which would probably get annoying after a while.
