I basically spent the first half of this year drawing one Robot Master a day. It's a fun exercise, if you wanna do it (and if you have done it, please post!). Some turned out better than others (sorry DiveMan D:). Anyways, hope you enjoy.

You would think after all those drawings there would be improvement....

So do you want to be an artist, or a guy who just does lack luster fan art?
I'm not trying to be mean, but if you want to improve your art and draw more than megaman robots, you need to change your approach. Draw from real life, study form, structure...etc...NOT MANGA.

If you don't want to be a better artist, i would reccomend at least taking more time on these. i see vertually no improvement from the 1st to the last, and why would you be doing these every day if not to produce better work?

Well, for the video they're in order of their robot master numbers (for the most part) and not when I drew them. Although, if they were in order I'm sure it'd be just as hard to see any improvement (some days I had more time to draw than others). I mostly was using it as a way to keep myself busy drawing, and also because I love MegaMan obviously.

I will try and work harder though. Thank you for the comments.

I'd like for you to post the first 5 you drew, the last 5 you drew, and what you felt were your best and worst 5 and when you drew them.

also, did you make the brief animation at the end?

    that would help with critiquing.

The first RM I drew was SearchMan

My latest picture was fanart for Borderlands

One of the pics I really liked in the end was MagmaMan's, although it's basically a redrawing of the intro scene from MegaMan 9 (and it uses a cheap gradient bg).

i would suggest not even bothering with color right now. I would focus on form and structure. Use the dedication you used to draw every day, just re-aim it at stuff that's going to make you improve.draw your own hands, draw things around you, draw from anatomy books, draw people.

An idea badly translated. I wanted to have a Legends related picture, and DrillMan seemed perfect (since the whole series is about ruins and digging machines). It was supposed to be the Bonnes discovering a sleeping DrillMan.
