Using the last expendable income I had to my name I bought a Lotto Max ticket on the 4th. The second I walked out I knew I was going to regret it when I ran out of smokes.
Fast forward to about 10 minutes ago. I walk into the corner store with my ticket I've already deemed useless. I didn't bother checking it. It goes into the machine and does its little jingle of happiness and says "Winner! Gagnant!". I'm thinking I broke even and asked what the pay out was. $147. The highest I've ever won on a lottery ticket ever. Granted I've bought only maybe 15 in my life. I walked out with $126 and two packs of addiction.
i saw a nice asian man lose $14000 on blackjack last night
I just shit myself

Recently I played a scratch off lotto ticket that won six times
$2, $2, $2, $2, $1, $1
Before that, the most money I won was $110 for 1st 2nd and 3rd place in an essay contest where I wrote about diversity
I wasn't going to win if anyone else entered, but nobody did.
e: actually the most money I won was $150 on picking Syracuse to win the national championship that one year, I forgot that.

A magician gives you a ring that, when worn, will let you see the world as it truly is.
However, the ring will never leave your finger, and you will be unable to ever describe to another living person what you see.

Sometimes I get scratch tickets. If I win any less than $10 it goes right back into more scratch tickets. One time I got on a roll of about five or six tickets in a row like this before I finally won $10 and went "I'm cashing out now because I've got things to do today."
One time my friend got really drunk at the casino but still managed to win over $400 on blackjack. One of my other friends had to physically drag him off the table at that point because he would have stayed there all night and ended up like $1000 in the hole.
Was that a response to my post? Because I'm not really friends with that guy any more. I saw him at a Japanese restaurant recently though, he still drinks like a fish and looks about five years older than he actually is.

no, it was just a post in response to a gambling thread.
couple months ago i went to the casino and did some actual gambling for the first time ever, not counting like $6 in slot machines or whatever
$50 into roulette machine, walked away with $250
yay
a friend i was with did even better by another hundred or two and we were trying to get him to leave the table and then the dealer came along and started telling him to leave as well

like ten years ago my grandparents won 50k on one, but they probably spent way more than that, lifetime, on tickets.

trying to keep my little brother from being deported when I know that he'll just keep being stupid and getting in trouble anyway
That sucks I'm sorry.

it's basically me writing a letter saying he's a good kid and etc etc
and then he'll be allowed to stay
and then he'll fuck up again
and then he'll be deported
and then he won't be anyone's problem but his own
this is the literal definition of last chances
become like a cop or something, I dunno
a cop
