Same program, different profiles

I just installed google chrome on my netbook on my own profile, but on the wife's profile it won't load up, even though it's the default web browser on the start bar. Do I really need to install the same program on each different profile?

    I think there's an option during installation to install only for the current user or for all users who use this computer.
