Wii Component Cable Issue

So, hopefully this will be short and sweet.

I bought a pair of component cables for my Wii to use on my PC's LCD when I'm playing a solo game and don't need to be in front of the TV to play with the wife.

Anyway, I've noticed in the Wii menu, and in a game or two (Tetris Party for one) I get this weird shimmering effect on deep blue backgrounds. An easy place to replicate this is in the Weather Channel; half the screen shimmers.

Well, in 3D games, this doesn't seem to be an issue at all. I've tried several games and they all look great, no shimmering or anything. Also, it doesn't happen at all on my normal non-digital television the Wii is usually hooked up to.

What I'm wondering is if anyone else sees this at all on their LCD's they might have their Wii hooked up to?

I'm wondering if it's a problem with the LCD (I is flawless for both PC and 360 use however, but they're HDMI, not Component), a problem with the Wii or a problem with the cables. They're Madcatz cables, and seem to be of pretty good quality. I don't have anything else to test them on is the problem since my TV isn't digital.

The only reason I even care, since it doesn't show up in most games at all is that when I first bought my wii, I had the WiiConnect24 overheating problem that fried my graphics card and I had to get it repaired. However the video corruption that resulted in some shimmering then was a different kind of shimmering. It was a messed up pixel shimmering that was clearly a faulty graphics card. This doesn't seem to be the same and since it doesn't show up anywhere else or on my normal TV I'm thinking it is not a graphical card problem again...but I guess deep down I have a fear that it is in fact another bad card and that it is only showing the early stages on the LCD before it manifests into a worse issue as time goes on.

Anyone have any comment/info/thoughts?

If you take a photograph, someone may have seen this before. All I can tell you is that I bought component cables for the Wii and every now and then I'd get a black screen. I thought my Wii was beginning to suffer from video chip rot (mine is a launch unit) until I bought the official Nintendo component cables. Haven't seen a black screen since.

I'm willing to bet that this is the advice that most people will give you here, because most appear to have had problems with non-official Wii component cables.

...and I thought of how all those people died, and what a good death that is. That nobody can blame you for it, because everyone else died along with you, and it is the fault of none, save those who did the killing.
