Xbox 360 Data Transfer

Is there any way to do a complete transfer without ordering the kit from MS?

Can I just redownload everything and have it work without me being logged on to live?

I ordered to the Modern Warfare LE Console to replace my launch console and just wanted to see if there was a limited, once a year, license transfer without the kit.

    Wow. Thanks.

    I searched their site and google all last night and kept getting the page for the Data Transfer Kit (Gamespot forums and Yahoo Questions that linked me back to the Data Transfer Kit).

    That's awesome. Is there an easy way to transfer saved games as well? Could you do it via a USB memory stick or something?

    I believe you have to use the memory card thing without the transfer cable, but I'm not 100%.

    The transfer cable will be what you need, however if you call MS and tell them the situation they generally mail them out for free

    ^This is my plan upon purchasing an elite. There's an order form online for MS to mail you one, BUT it doesn't apply to the US for some amazing reason.
