I'm looking for a nice mouse pad. It needs to be:
- Durable; something I can use for years
- Something that won't absorb sweat/dirt/anything
- smaller than 11"x10"; 11"x10" is the biggest it can be
- Very easy to clean
It'll be used mostly for gaming, but I don't need an overpriced gaming mousepad with "ultra-x-treme precision." I've been doing just fine with my $15 logitech mouse and $2 mouse pad from Wal-Mart, I'd just prefer something I don't have to replace every couple of months because it turns disgusting.
I used to have a steel mouse pad that was great. Took 10 seconds to clean, and rarely needed it, super durable, and just the right size. I lost that in a move a few years ago.
I've heard some metal/hard plastic mouse pads aren't compatible with certain mice, some will have too much friction between the mouse and the pad, some have a teflon coating that works great for a while, then wears off in patches, all sorts of problems.
So, any suggestions on mouse pads? Any particular brands I should avoid, or look for?

You can get one for like $30 that's decent enough.

It works well, my biggest problem with mousepads was always the corners folding up and the cloth at the corners peeling off, but I haven't had that problem with this one, and I like how thin it is.
I have a laser mouse but I still need a mousepad because my desk is glass.
Yep, Steel Series all the way.
