Anything you good people could recommend even remotely in the same vein as those above (or perhaps just a good recommendation of good serial killer music in general), it'd be much appreciated.

"For a few seconds Oskar saw through Eli's eyes. And what he saw was...himself. Only much better, more handsome, stronger than what he thought of himself. Seen with love."
--John Ajvide Lindqvist, Let the Right One In (Page 446).
The entire "Murder Ballads" album by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds would seem to fit the bill.
I came in here to recommend this very album. Every song is about a killer of some sort. I don't think all of them are about serial killers, but it definitely works. "Song of Joy" is a favorite of mine.
That's a cover of a fucking Kate Bush song. I assure you the song has just about nothing to do with murder.
Also that's not a bad cover, his voice is almost as incredible as hers. It sounds like he's got her vocal tracks in there in a few spots too, but look up the original. Kate Bush is wicked cool.
Also, the ultimate serial killer song is Dead Skin Mask by Slayer. It's about Ed Gein. I guess in a different sense Angel of Death is too.
Also, the alternate lyrics for Psycho Killer by the Talking Heads from the The Name of This Band Is recordings are really cool, you should hunt down a copy (also because it's a collection of some of the best live recordings I've ever heard).
But seriously American death metal bands are all as obsessed with serial killers as the rest of American culture is, so basically every one of them has at least a couple of songs on the subject.

Now, it's not a good song, and it isn't about a serial killer either, but if singing about hiding someone in the walls of your house and wearing their skin doesn't get you thinking like a serial killer, not sure what will:
This song is by the Greenskeepers, btw. The name of the song is "Lotion".
Not strictly about a serial killer, but there is also the Ballad of Charles Whitman by Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys.

Not all the songs on it are about serial killers (one is about Genghis Khan) but It should more or less fit the bill.
