Oh hey, it's that time for the Spike VGA Awards again. It's starting to look like the Winter E3, pissing off developers as they have to take the time off to make trailers for their games!
The awards will be on Spike TV at 8 Pacific / 10 Central.
Expected Reveals
Halo: Reach (from the opening cinematic. Trailer will be 2 minutes and 30 seconds long)
Crackdown 2 (who knows)
new Medal of Honor (apparently stars a lumberjack)
Mystery Reveals
Hell if I know.
Also Burger King has made available some streams that you will be able to watch live. No word on if any of these will be the actual broadcast or if all of these streams are 'offscreen' quality.

and I hope this isn't a trend from the Rock Band folks, as while I am incredibly tired of the current music game format, I felt like Harmonix was at least doing their level best not to pump out a band based game every 6 months ala guitar hero.

Hey man, don't throw the 'EA expectations' on them yet. They came out of the gates blazing last year, surprising a lot with how well done the game was. They might in fact do more with the game than the NCAA team does with their's.

well the thing is, once you've got a base for that sort of thing there's not a lot more you can do with it
and yukes is making it, and from my experience with the smackdown series, they're not big on earth-shattering changes.

The script for that movie is actually pretty good, by the way. And I refuse to accept that a movie based on a game can have a game based on the movie of the game. It's just a new game.

Also hoping Medal of Honor is pretty pleasing.
Halo: Reach...ehhh...I dig the Halo games but ODST was one of the most mind-numbingly boring games I've played. I don't have a lot of faith in side stories; I realized just how much I liked being a Spartan, it was more important than I thought.
Green Day: Rock Band pleasantly surprises me.
