Clint Eastwood

At 80 years old, he is old enough to be in a poster on your dad's (possibly even grandpa's) wall decades back. He has directed and starred in enough movies to fill a home collection. This dude was attending elementary school during the Great Depression, middle school during World War II, and high school when atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

So what are your favorite movies that have involved Clint Eastwood in some capacity? I think Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima are both ace, along with Gran Torino. I haven't had the chance to check out Changeling or Invictus yet, but I'm ready to change that in the next few weeks.

I hate you and you hate me.

Gran Torino would be a good start.

    Eastwood stars and directs.

No, fuck. Guys, the first movie featuring Clint Eastwood in any way that anyone should see is The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

Because not only do you get to see the definitive badass of Westerns, but you get to see his predecessor (Lee Van Cleef) and Eli Wallach (who is a badass in his own right)!

Wait, wait, wait, how can you start watching Eastwood films without seeing Fistful of Dollars first? Yes, Good the Bad and the Ugly is the best of the trilogy, but you've got to work your way up to it.

Rugby is the medium through which the film delivers a very human message. It's not really about rugby.

I've been going on a little clint-a-thon lately. I watched Million Dollar Baby on netflix, followed by Dirty Harry, Fistful of Dollars, and For a Few Dollars More. I actually have Good Bad and the Ugly out right now, gonna watch it this week. The Dollars series is actually really good apart from Clint, really good directing and pacing and all that.

i've been biting my nails more than usual recently, and it's because i've watched 3 films in a row this week that are unbearably tense

play misty for me, hurt locker, and the mist

it's bad enough when you're watching it and you expect evelyn/terrorists/monsters to just pop out of the background any second

but now i can't go to bed, i'm too wound up
