It's been too long since a new Jedi Knight game nor a new KOTOR for that matter. Does anybody know of any good Star Wars mods made recently so I can satisfy my craving for some lightsaber action?!?

You need LEGO StarWars.
Blocky lightsabre action for some, little american flags for others.
If you're looking for mods, I'd suggest Lucasfiles. There are probably better sites out there, but that's where I spent most of my mod searching days. I don't know of any new ones off hand, but there are some fun ones out there. I have vague recollections of "Ladder" and "Meat grinder" being fun.
Wiimote+Lightsaber. You know it'll happen someday.
Of course, because the one thing George Lucas has shown over the past 10 years is a willingness to give Star Wars fans what they want. :P
YOU'RE BEAKING MY DREAMS, MAN!
How much of a hand does Lucas have in the games anyway? Jedi Outcast and Academy were fine games (if somewhat leaning too much toward acrobatic lightsaber combat instead of movie-style swordplay for my liking), and SWG was, as far as I'm aware, SOE's own fault.
I think a Wii lightsaber game would get old, quickly.
Also, what are the capabilities for Wii controls being 1:1? afaik Red Steel said it was not fun at all when they tried it/couldn't be implemented properly.
Basically, I'm wishing a Kotor3 would come out, except like in the next gen realm and with stunning visuals.
Everyones favorite button on the original kotor was 'Y', and we all know why.

Because it was yellow!
Another mystery solved.
Everywhere you fuckin ran in Kotor you had to ignite your sabers with Y. I mean everywhere I went. And when they were already out it spun them and made the cool mwoommm mwoommmm sound.

LucasArts hasn't forgotten about KotOR3, and we'll be getting the third installment eventually. At best, though, we're looking at '08-'09.
Edit: source. I had a thread about this a while ago.
Good to know this thing is still 'open', though really, Bioware did it better, and i know the second one was rushed, but aside from that i think the first was still superior. Bioware are on some insane roll now of superb games. I dont think they have a bad game to their name.
Are there any Jedi Knight games in the works? I loved those games, but haven't heard anything. It's been quite some time since JK2.
Wasn't Jedi Academy released after that? There's also some "next gen" SW title in the works, IGN has a video of it.
That video was pretty fucking sweet but now I want a lightsaber game even more!!!
I think I remember seeing art for either that or Dead Alliance. It basically involved a Jedi increasing the size of their lightsaber so much they tore an AT-AT in half longways.
Star Wars games need less OT and less Clone Wars and a lot more EU. When will I get to kill Vong? When?
When the non-book readers know of them.
Yeah, it's a catch-22.
Bah. They introduced all kinds of alien races and new droids in KotOR. Introduce the Vong, then let us start fighting them.
Empire at War has an expansion where they just tack on some bullshit smuggler's alliance type faction. What the hell? Nobody who hasn't read the books knows or cares about that, either, and anyone who has knows NOT to care about it. Vong would be so easy to do. I'm guessing the real reason would be that it'd probably just be to weird/adult. Oh well.

Thnig is, in KoTOR, it's so far in the past that they can basically do what they want. The Vong, however, are basically pretty different from the enemies that were seen in Star Wars before. I think they don't want to alienate people who'd just go "Who're these fucks, and why're they kicking Luke's ass?".

They did sorta have Vong in KOTOR. At least the Mando had a story about them.

Yeah, but that felt a little much like fanservice. A scout ship made it here so many years before the fleet did? And I thought scouts were relatively recent in the Prequel era, according to the book about Zonoma Sokat (I can't spell) and Outbound Flight.
But Luke's still quite vital in the Vong war time frame. Older, yes, but everyone is, and Star Wars has tech that lets people live far longer than us, with a longer prime in their life. Han's definitely past his, but as a Jedi, Luke has that tech AND the ability to draw off the Force.

LEGO Star Wars really is a damn fun lightstaber/other stuffs romp. It's really simplistic, but still manages to be completely awesome. I haven't even played the sequel, which is supposed to be even better.

Lego SW is fun for maybe two hours, then you realize that you aren't doing anything.

I just want either a Empire at War NJO expansion or a new X-Wing vs Tie Fighter set in the NJO era and I can die happy. A Jedi Knight game would be awesome as well. Just as long as we don't have to go back to Hoth. Again

I played about halfway through with my girlfriend in Co-Op in Lego SW II
I'd go back to Hoth. If the Vong were invading it.
They've had games starring Boba Fett and Wedge. Even games with those stupid clone troopers. What would be the big deal about making a Jacen and Jayna game or something? Just pretend that they've just been made up and people would buy it. I'd play anything. A godamn RPG even.

I was having fun. Didn't realize I needed to do anything more in a game.
I'm shocked no one has made a game about the exploits of Corran Horn. That lucky bastard has done just about everything.
CorSec, elite X-Wing pilot, commando, Jedi...you name it.
I love Stackpole's books, but he sure can go Monty Hall on some of his characters.

I don't care if there's a disturbance in the force. I DO care if there's a trial going on with political intrigue and double crossing and triple crossing by the good guys.

Do like bullet time stuff (some Jedi power bs) and allow you to manually block incoming blaster shots! Damn, I need a tissue just thinking about that!

Still, as cool as all that stuff looked, that shit is almost DBZ levels of absurd by the Star Wars norm.
