Google Voice, Caller ID blocking, and Cell Phone Bills

Long story short, my mom doesn't want me talking to my sister (family issue thing), but my dad doesn't care as long as my mom doesn't find out. Well, my mom scrutinizes the shared cell phone bill monthly and freaks out if she sees my sisters number on it.

Now, if she were to call my Google Voice number would her number still show on the bill? And if I were to call her through my Google Voice number (using a Droid, so I think I can do that?) would her number show on the bill?

If not, is there some way we can keep her number from showing on the bill to keep peace in the family? Somebody mentioned having her hit #61 (?) to block her number, but that wouldn't work if I called her.

Ideas? Suggestions? I love my sister and I want to keep communication open with her, so your help is greatly appreciated!

Are you able to get your phone on a separate bill? Or barring that, can you or your sister use a different phone to make the calls? One of your friends maybe?

    tracfone.

20$ per hour, roughly. (20$ for 60 'units', which is a unit per minute you talk or .3 units for each text)

However you might have some prepaids in the area with better rates

There's a good cheap Tracfone for $20 that comes with lifetime double minutes, which means closer to $10 per hour of talk time.

It's what I use for my primary service.

If you use google voice that will be the number that shows on the bill.

    Pay as you go phone?

By that logic, why not just get your own plan?

This is easily done with google voice

Settings > Calls > Caller ID in, select "Display my Google Voice number", save changes

also, if you have a plan with free calling to X amount of friends and family numbers that are out of network, adding your google voice number basically lets you make and receive unlimited calls without using your minutes.

So if I dial out from Google Voice to my sis my GVoice number will show, and when she dials in (after changing the settings Kriz gave) my GVoice number will show? Awesome! Thanks guys!
