i just started watching BSG and finished Season 1, but i coudn't understand why
[spoiler:06f9b49e23]Baltar didn't tell anyone that Sharon is a Ceylon[/spoiler:06f9b49e23]
did i miss something? i know he's crazy but didn't that risk his own safety?
and later, when [spoiler:06f9b49e23]Sharon tried to kill herself[/spoiler:06f9b49e23] - why not at least at that moment? i don't get it.
please keep in mind, that i've only seen season 1 so far.
[spoiler:06f9b49e23]Baltar lies about Sharon being a Cylon because he's worried if he tells, that her Cylon programming will kick in and she'll either kill him or worse, reveal he helped the Cylons.[/spoiler:06f9b49e23]
To his credit he totally gets the chicks. [spoiler:881702e561]And im sure you'd all be slightly off balance if you had an overbearing 6ft blonde talking in your ear all the time, reminding you that your responsible for wiping out the human race.[/spoiler:881702e561]
And smoking gun thats a retarded summary, season 2 was phenomenal. Ugh.
you know the episode Ronald Moore publically apologized for making
but then there is Pegasus and Resurrection Ship and Scar
Um, Downloaded? Thats like my favorite episode, of anything, ever. And if the worst episode in a series is Black Market, then the series is fucking phenomenal.
"i r teh baby-eatin' Capt. of the Pegasus, do you hate me yet, 'cos i r eveeel"
Seriously, fuck that shit. And you know I'm right. It was all fucking emo. And not even good emo.
Infact, everytime you watch season 2 and think "Hey, SG was a total dick", re-watch the miniseries and notice how it is so very much better that season 2.

[spoiler:7927efc357]I cannot disagree with everything here more strongly. And where are you getting this emo shit from? They painted her out to be evil my ass, she was redeemed in the end, and I hated her so much, yet her funeral sequence was brilliantly done and showed nobody really randomly despised her, they understood how she reached that point. Seriously your talking shit.[/spoiler:7927efc357]
God knows when it comes out in Aus, and Aus internet is a joke, so no way I could download it. Probably be a good 2 years before I get to see it, on dvd format.

I kinda liked Black Market.
I also just watched all episodes over 4 days and never during season 2 did I feel that the quality was somehow diminished.
But the first 6 or so episodes of season 3 had me sitting there with my mouth open thinking "What the fuck? Did they really just show that on television?".
People are delusional. Season 2 was utter dogshit. Every bit of it. The black market episode, scar, and the prettyboy adama hostage ep very very nearly ended my watching of that show/will to live. I can't believe someone actually quoted scar as an example of a good episode.
I thought the whole theme running through season 2 was that there was no such thing as polarised, black and white, two dimensional good and bad guys. Maybe they heavily re-edited it for the retarded US audience or something, but essentially every main character in season 2 is, at some point, portrayed as a self-serving, flawed, personality.
RE season 1, Baltar, [spoiler:c5ac4a9f76]he's responsible for the entire human race nearly getting wiped out. If he lets on that the woman in his head is a cylon, not only does he admit guilt for allowing cylon's access to the planetary defences but he also presents himself as a threat to the fleet due to the potential for him to be unwillingly operating as an informant. Considering the brutal treatment meted out to anyone even suspected of being a cylon, he probably doesn't want to admit to being in cahoots with them.[/spoiler:c5ac4a9f76]
i mean i know that adama thinks earth doesnt exist, but the others believe him to know the location. And they have a FTL Jump... So... what is keeping them from jumping to Earth directly? If Adama says he KNOWS the location, why is everything accepting that they don't just go there directly?

take wild guess, doofus.
"because then the season would be over, huhu" / "because the writers were stoned and forget that" / "BSG suxx lol lol" - i mean is it explained in the series or is it just a plot hole?
i just imagine Bush would stand up and say: hey people, i found the way to god on google maps but i can't send you the link: it's classified.
HoA: there is one episode where they jump like 128 times in a row every 33 minutes... so if only the distance is limited but not the times they jump, they could continusly jump there... that and in one of the last episodes of S1 [spoiler:d9a0b10a36] Starbuck jumps all the way back to attica or whatever that home planet is called. It looks nothing like Sharon

season 2 is going to fucking blow your mind
And also disappoint you with the absence of robots and guns and presence of two-dimensional bad guys.
Seriously, fuck season 2 and go straight to the one thats on now.

we can just go to regular conventions
I mean, I could have interneted it early I guess, but I wanted to watch all of season 1 first, because series 2 was the first time I watched.

The distance they can jump is limited.
