A couple of months ago i remember there was a topic being discussed about a "what if" scenario concerning a racial role reversal. Something similar to the movie White Man's Burden. There was a list of sci-fi novels that related to the topic that was listed on the boards but I cant find them. Can somebody list the books that deal with this topic please? I find that topic quite interesting

I don't know of any books, but there's an old BBC series called Fable that shares the theme.

I think you might be out of luck regarding books to be honest. The White Man's Burden concept works because of the shock of seeing the role reversal, having white people be treated in a manner incongruous to our normal experience. In written form it just doesn't work, because it doesn't have the same shock or resonance.

I don't know the titles, but there is an alternative history series where Africa is the dominant region in the world, and spreads it's influence instead of Europe.

Edit: Here we go... the first in the series is called Lion's Blood by Steven Barnes.

I was thinking of this one book by Levar Burton, but I guess its not the same - its about blacks and whites seperated in the roles of The House/Senate and Vice President/President respectively. Never read it though.

As an aside, I remember one of the characters in The Invisibles talking about white discovering time travel, and going back in time and fixing it so that THEY were the masters of the blacks, and not the other way around. Always thought that was an interesting bit that Morrison slipped in that was never explored.

It's a children's series and not perhaps exactly what you are looking for but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noughts_%26_Crosses_series perhaps

Check out Farnham's Freehold by Robert A. Heinlein.
