Dungeon Siege II, Want! (I live in Burien) - oops, not solved - OK, solved
I just finished the demo version of DSII, and so now I want to play the full version. I'd like to download it if possible. I looked on ye olde Microsoft website (they're the publishers, right?). Am I missing some other place that might have it? I thought Blizzard's game d/l service was awesome.
I'm reluctant to use ebay. Craigslist had one or two people offering copies, but they haven't returned my emails. Who knew the Seattle Freeze would apply to For Sale items? Yuk yuk.
I live in Burien if anyone in the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia area has a copy they'd like to sell me. I will pay cash...American cash.

Gamestop has the expansion but not the original. Amazon has it for $95. (!) I want to play it, but not $95 worth of want. I tried Newegg, too. Expansion, but not the original.
Are there any other online retailers (or computer stores in the Seattle-ish area) that might have it?

Actually there are used copies on Amazon for about $35 and I see two copies on Ebay in the Ebay Stores for the same price. And if you look under Completed Auctions on Ebay it's gone for as low as $16 recently. I can see a TON (14!) of recent auctions for it with Buy It Nows of $35 that all ended mid December with no one buying them. :P

FYI the expansion comes with the original in the same box, they arent sold seperately.

I just got off the phone with tech support at 2K games, and they said that this was not correct. I'd have to buy the original DSII to go with it, or buy the Deluxe edition.

Again, Goozex. I have a full copy sitting right next to me. I only listed it as game + manual though cause it's a double-wide dvd style case and I don't want to ship that.
I called 2K again since I wasn't entirely sure the tech guy understood my Q properly. Turns out that when I asked again the 2nd guy I talked to said Broken World does come with DS2 original. So fuck it, I ordered BW from newegg. I'll update when I find out *for myself* what the skinny is on this.
And thanks for the goozex tip, I'll probably have to look into that for future purchasesd.

I have never once seen the game on the shelves as just the expansion. It has always come with the full game. Maybe this is just in Canada/US or something? I don't know, but that's the only way i have ever seen it.

I think you're right.
But I also think that whoever was responsible for not making it rock-solid CLEAR whether or not BW also contains original DSII sucks pack mule cock in front of an audience for money.

It appears to be a rare game. You can't find it anywhere. Ebay doesn't even have listings of it. This is a reason that games get to that price.
Disgaea for the PS2 was up to 60 - 65 at Gamestop prior to the PSP release. It was so hard to find.
Katamari Damacy, a game that retailed for $20 originally, got up to $35 at Gamestop because it was rare.
Ico used to sell on ebay for $60 dollars until PS3 dropped backwards compatibility. Now it's down to about $35.
Diablo for the PS1 is a $40 game. A PS1 game costing more than PS3 games.
It's not uncommon for rare games to hit that price tag. $90 is high, but not unheard of.
Not entirely related to the thread, but Suikoden on the PS1 routinely sells for upwards of £130. Now, I'm not entirely 100% on my £ to $ ratio, but I believe that to be in the region of $240+. You can buy new consoles for that.
For the record, the $5 game sold by Newegg is only the expansion. It comes on a CD. If you try to install the BW disc by itself it will let you. If you then try to play it will tell you that you need to have DS2 original to play the expansion. Nice of them to tell you that on the box! Luckily, other sources came through.
I'd call this solved.

This site is the only one I could find it from.

We found it at Fry's, brand new with expansions.

I could've sworn they sold it at Wal * Mart for like $5
I'd call this solved.
