I got a standard Logitech sound system (Z313) with one subwoofer and two satellite speaker for Christmas. I hooked it up today, turned it on, and immediately there's a problem. If the computer's volume is set higher than just above silence, the sub screws up. It makes a weird vibrating sound that most certainly isn't part of "Georgia on m Mind".
I have an Asus laptop with a RealTek HD Audio card.
My suggestion would be to hook it up to an ipod or some other sound source to check first, but if your old speakers worked ok, it's probably the hardware. Make sure that everything is plugged all the way in etc, so forth, blah blah.
