Xbox 360 Wheels - V1 vs V2?

I just ordered a copy of Forza 3, and am looking to pickup a 360 steering wheel. I noticed Amazon and a few other retailers refer to the version they are selling as "version 2." On Kijiji I found a guy willing to sell his used one (in apparently perfect condition) for half the price. Problem is I don't know what version it is, or even what the difference between version 1 and version 2 is. I can't find it anywhere online, anyone here have any ideas?

    From looking on Wikipedia, I'm guessing that the version numbers have to do with the revision to the AC adapter that was causing it to catch fire at times. Also, the original version of it came with an enhanced PGR3 that worked with the force feedback on the wheel.
