I have a friend in the Peace Corps who didn't really get much going on for Christmas. I know she enjoys video games, and so I thought I might try to gift something smallish just to brighten the gift list. All I know is she has a Panasonic Toughbook. Could anyone tell me whether that thing can run anything off of Steam for instance?
Thanks.
Edit: It's a CF-30, navy issue.
What is this I don't even.

Most games based off the HL2 engine scale pretty well, so things like Half-Life2 and the like might be able to run at low settings. However, from what I've seen, the machine is made for reliability and not for speed, so a gaming machine it is not.
All the Lucasarts adventure games, X-COM 1 and 2, most of the casual games (especially Popcap stuff, like Plants v Zombies) are all good Steam choices. It's all on sale right now and you could probably pick most of it up for like $10. Total.
