Ok, so I used to eat this chewy candy that came in a wrapper like Mentos, but this candy was blackcurrant flavored. I remember buying these candies at a store in Chinatown, so I thought they might be a Chinese candy.
I went to Canada on a trip, and saw that they had some blackcurrant chewy candy, only it came in a big tube instead of a wrapper. It was called Frutips, and I swore that name rung a bell. I got a tube, and....I don't think it was the same thing. The individual pieces looked the same (purple cyclinder thingy with pointy crystals) but it was way too chewy. the candy i had originally was kinda tougher than the average candy.
I googled Frutips images, and I got some pics, but does anyone know what candy I could be talking about? Does it exist? Perhaps the candy used to come in a wrapper and be harder, but then changed packaging/consistency?
