And it looks like shit, so I searched for topics on why it doesn't look awesome and got myself directed towards Thomas' Myspace Editor and that's well and good for changing backgrounds and etc., but all my friends seem to have their tables and stuff moved over to the left and with a larger width and this is something I'd like to do because it's looking retarded at the moment.
Also any tips for picking a not retarded background? Because all I can think of is leaving it as it is.
I hate Myspace because it's so hard to edit your profile without rechanging everything. It's great there's customizable tables and stuff via HTML but if you want to change one thing you have to redo your entire layout.
For the backgrounds, what I did was I went to Photoshop and made a simple square that was small. It loads quickly, doesn't look like shit, and tiles well. Looks great contrasted against my black boxes with brightly-colored text (yellow, silver, white, etc.)
Here's what mine looks like.
My advice is make your design simple and let it contrast your tables to make text easy. I once clicked on my friend's page and it was so messed up I couldn't even find his table that had the "Add Me As A Friend" button.
I am 100% going with simple is better but I'm just interested in making the "Interests here" table wider because it looks quite retarded as it's very long right now but has abrely any information in it.
For what it's worth I don't think I have ever seen a 'cool' looking myspace page. Thier website is notorious for looking like ass. Point being dont stress too much. If you put an hours worth of effort into it, it will probably look better than most profiles, even though it may still look like ass to you.
I'm actually quite pleased with my myspace now guys, thanks for your help, instead of changing the tables I just made the text 1pt smaller and it made quite a difference and is still easily visible and using simple colours for background and shit was what I was looking for. Thanks.
If you need help fixing up your site. Go to there fourms under myspace and then customising. I found alot of tips and tricks there as it were. Also anyquestion you might have somone has asked there at leat five or six times. I would link you mine but Im currently deployed to an undisclosed location and behind brand new gov firewalls. WOOT FUN!!!
Don't put background music in your site. Everyone hates it.
Not true whatsoever.
There is an option to not have music startup automatically. I forget where it is, but it requires the viewer to actually click on play before the music starts. It still loads, though.
I mean uhhh... Fuck Myspace! It's for emo douchebags.
Yeah
www.myspace.com/bigasshole is mine.
I like the solid colors better tha n background pictures, especially the ones that make it impossible to read any text.

Unless the song is "Promise" by Ciara. Even if you're a smokin' hot young chick, that song is a stabbable offense.
