Someone's burglar alarm is going off and I can't go back to sleep

Frankly I think this is disgraceful. I was woken by this fire alarm over 45 minutes ago and thought "it's ok, Alpha or Ramius will fix it" and they still have not done so. All I expect from you guys is two things
1. Keep the forums running
2. Ensure that nothing ever wakes me up
and it seems that I was wrong to put so much trust in you. I'm very disappointed in this and it's clear that you guys (and possibly the rest of the staff at Penny Arcade) need to put your heads together and come up with some strategies to prevent this happening again.

    Did you call the police so they could stop by and notify the owner who could then turn off the alarm so that you could get back to sleep?

    Alternately, is it loud enough that you can hear it over headphones? Now may be the perfect time for some soothing music.

    What happens when the forums get borked, anyway? Do you guys have a hotline or something? Like a Alpha/Ramius signal?

    I am assuming they have paid positions concerning the amount of work I am also assuming goes into keeping a webforum of this size up and running. Do they have shifts?

    Or do you just email them anytime sometime breaks and they aren't around?

    It's obvious that no one in your block/building/whatever cares about the burglar alarm. There are pros and cons to this:

    Con - No one is likely going to turn it off until the owner gets back.

    Pro - This means you can go there and steal whatever is left.

    I have a long-term solution devised for this problem, Tube. I can send it to you by post. It is a pair of special headphones. You do not need to wear them while sleeping, you only need to apply them the one time. Pay no attention to the sharp pointed eardrum-piercing appendages, they are part of the design. Once this solution has been applied, you can be rather certain that being awoken by loud noises in the night will no longer be a problem.
