But the only single letter words I can think of that would end with "aining" would be raining, or gaining, and neither of those seem to work within the context of the rest of the cryptogram.
Context = I often write in a rather simplistic cryptogram on my twitter, easily solved with five minutes work. I made a remark on there a few days ago about regretting the gradual loss of my friendship with someone, and this was a friend's reply. It is not in the same code I write in, nor in any logical order that I can find.
well, it's definitely more complicated than a simple substitution
is it possible he tried to send something back to you using your cypher but messed it up? sort of weird to see that many of the series for s=i resolve into actual words

Of course solvers are probably bad at coming up with logical sentences but it can't even make an english word out of every set of letters. That long one in the middle seems to be particularly nonsensical.
