My drive is just about full so looking to upgrade.

current deals on newegg

Seagate Momentus 500gb 5400 rpm $75
WD Scorpio black 320gb 7200 rpm 79.99
wd scorpio blue 500gb 5400 rpm 94.99
wd scorpio blue 320gb 5400 rpm 65.00

most of my experience has been with WD drives, but i have heard decent things about seagate drives in general.

just not sure what to go with.

If you don't mind a little more heat and a little less space I'd get 7200rpm over 5400rpm without any other specs to go by.

I've used WD and Seagate and experiences have been pretty balanced for me.

I'm pretty sure the 7200 will burn battery faster than the 5400 if that is of any concern.

The Seagate Momentus drives were OEM equipment for MacBooks for a while and I'm currently using a 160gb model in my MacBook.

I didn't see a batter life hit from the upgrade either
