That was entertaining. I rather like the commentary, and given the open-endness and weird stuff you can do in the game (killing hot dog vendors, driving like mad without your AI partners noticing it) it really grabbed my attention. I hope you do more crazy stuff, it's good stuff and stuffstuffstuffstuff (I'm tired ok).
Also I've been making GTA videos lately (as Henroid pointed out the video editor is amazing, even though it sadly does have it's limits!) and, as a result, have been watching a lot of other GTA videos!
The commentary with Adus playing, Klyka, and Henroid is fucking gold. There is something that works just so hard core cool about the MST3000 style. I haven't played GTAIV before myself, so I think I was destined to see it this way.
Edit: Interesting fact, I just noticed a third installment to this gift from heaven on Viddler.
He's a rasta, so I think he has been betrayed by some drug dealers he was formerly associated with. I think he himself is "The Badman" and those people he's killing are the "blood clots"
You can sort of glean a few things just from either hanging out with Jamaican kids, or watching TV. I know from Ali G that apparently, "wagwan" means "What is going on".

yeah it's not that hard even, wha' g'wan even sounds like what's going on
That Hot Dog stand moment towards the start was great. As was the slow chase around the middle. Just so many great moments from the game itself, as well as the commentary.
It was odd though, how you didn't have your hat for like, a few minutes. And then it was magically back. Never worked for me like that when I played.
Edit: And yeah. I hated how Pay n' Sprays are pretty much useless in this game. Anything above a two or maybe a three star warning, it's hard enough to not be seen for a minute, much less navigate into a pay n' spray without being spotted. Just doesn't work out.

Yeah, it is far easier to escape police than rely on a pay 'n spray. I believe reloading the game restores your hat after losing it (which can happen in car crashes, etc), but I may be remembering wrong. Also, any clothes purchases/acquisitions will be part of your closet in a safe house (this tip is for Adus, as he's new to the game).
Hmm, can you give money to the hot dog vendors and take it back after killing them?
I don't think I care for this super serious tone that GTA4 has, and it's something I posted about in the RDR thread. I kind of like the unrepentant kitsch of the older GTA games (then again, I might be wrong here because I never really finished any of those games. It was a cycle of wanton destruction that started and ended with cheat codes for armories full of weapons.) and I liked that older style. Jetpacks, and whatnot.

"As in any language, Rastas also have words to express anger that are considered curses. An interesting point to make about the Rasta talk curses are that they are very natural in origin which coincides with the beliefs of the Rastafarian people. The worst possible way to insult a Jamaican is to refer to them as an excretion from the human body. What seems to be the most dominant curse is to refer to someone as a 'Ras clot' 'bongo clot,' or 'bumba clot.' In some contexts, the term 'clot' does mean cloth but, in this context, calling someone one of these words is like saying they came from a blood clot and not an ovum, from their mother's womb."
Jacobs is the best character in gta 4 hands down. Brucie is a distant second.
This is pretty much my opinion on them as well. Jacob is just the best friend you could ever have, and Brucie is a freaking maniac who is awesome to have around.
Ballad of Gay Tony completely ruined Brucie, however, by introducing his brother and basically giving away the 'hinted at' secret that everyone was guessing at. i.e. that he's
i gotta agree- i got the joke. brucie is overly obsessed with male bonding and stuff. he's probably gay. that's funny and also sort of sad- i felt sorry for brucie and that's one of the reasons i liked him so much (besides the fact that he pushes it to the max, alpha style)
no need to overdo it. and to overdo it with mori, of all people, who is essentially brucie 2.0 except less likable- at that point it's just a parody of a parody.
-the volume from the game is very low. sometimes you guys reference things that are said, or that you can hear, but the audience has difficulty doing the same. could you increase the games volume in future videos?
- needs more hot dog vendor killing
- i would love to join in on one of these, but have no idea what i might need
Really? I didn't think it was that low. I was more afraid of the game drowning out the commentary, but I'll do my best to raise it a bit for next time.
The hot dog vendor killing takes a bit of a break because when recording, it wasn't really a thing I was doing actively, I just happened to do it a few times. It will definitely make a return though.
All you'd need to join is Skype and a mic that doesn't sound like total crap. Then I link the page with the videos without commentary for people to download/watch as I record. I'm not just gonna link the page here though because I don't feel like having all the other people watch the videos without commentary. Though I guess most people wouldn't do that and if they DID then it's their call... I'll think about it, since the page would include every video without commentary just in case people missed something said in game and really wanted to hear it.

Edit - hahaha, Adus, I liked the cutoff point on commentary for part 3.
Badman is so bad at speaking that even Niko goes "wtf" whenever he speaks and he has Little Jacob translate for him.

Jacob did that to his rasta self.
fixed
but really, you've inspired me to start a new game
and i have taken your hatred of hotdopg vendors and multiplied it
i will buy a hot dog, then kill them in the most brutal way i can think of at the time
its horrible

Have you met Brucie yet?
"Man.
Whao
Man."
Or how ever that goes (its been almost 2 years since I've played the game) had me institches.
