I like how the differing dialog thing was brought up, since it is really interesting. It's nice, too, that they acknowledge sometimes it just gets old and yes, I know what to do, because if you have to restart a mission too many times, the other character will just go "Let's just listen to the radio." and bam. Don't have to hear them talk about the mission again that you're probably sick of at this point.

Also, that dude just really loved his freaking motorcycle. And it produced much hilarity.

They do indeed. I'm not sure if the crazy car lady actually said Turn Right during that 1080 or if it was just someone ad libbing but it was awesome.

Great set(s). That the GPS actually did say "Turn right", during the Tornado spin was fantastic. And as far as the train goes, I've spent hours knocking people onto the tracks. It's funny how, after you do, there's about a 50% chance or so that the people around you will react as if you punched that person, even though you just nudged them. Got jumped quite a few times that way.

So, I take it that this were the last of the first recording?

There's a couple of different GPS systems in the game. In one of them, the lady voice GPS says "Bing bong" sometimes in place of the sound.

Yes. Though a few more are done. I'll do my best to keep enough videos in backlog to post at least one a day.

So fuck Logitech headsets. This is the third one to die on me in like a year, but I guess you get what you pay for. Design-wise I like them because they have a nice long cord and are generally comfortable, but it doesn't take long for one headphone to just die, yet USB headsets suck because I want something that plugs into my nice sound card. That and they tend to be expensive.

Anyway, what this means is I had to double headset again, with the headset with the bad headphones on my neck (for the mic) and a good set of headphones on my ears, making the placement of the mic just perfect for me to exhale into everytime I spoke. So, enjoy that. I guess you stop noticing it after a few minutes, but I'm sorry either way. It also made me harder to hear, but I don't know how much is lost there. I'll try and position the mic better next time. Next time meaning next recording session. Unfortunately this lasts until video 11.

Anyway, the unnecessarily long explanation that I probably should have never brought up in hopes you didn't notice is now over and here is the next video. Enjoy!

Is there any discernible difference between cars? In GTA4 land I figured a car was just a car. It's not like in Vice City with the big letters to tell you to have a Faggio or something.

It's not as easily seen in the videos, but yes there are differences, though sometimes minor. It'll be more obvious once I get my hands on a sports car which'll happen in like video 14 or so.

The steering/ weight of the car makes huge differences. Not to mention the top speed of said car.

My favorite part about having 300 songs in your custom radio station is that it still pulls off radio-fail by playing the same things over and over again.

Just another way it's emulating the disappointment caused by real radio. Thankfully I finally noticed there are hotkeys to change songs, so that should be less of an issue now. I might add even more songs for variety if I ever decide not to be lazy about it. The radio really is making it seem like the majority of stuff I listen to has Death metal style vocals which isn't even remotely true. Though most of my stuff is metal, I tried to add a lot of stuff that wouldn't be painful to listen to even if you didn't like metal but it seems to want to ignore that intention.

As for this being the regular GTA thread? I don't think so. I could have sworn there was one. I don't really care if you talk about the series in here, though. Just spoiler stuff concerning GTA4 since this is my (and others) first time seeing the story.

    Here's the GTA4 thread:

Also, I'm really loving the LP so far. Klyka's story about the girl and the barbershop with the illustrations was pure comedy gold. :D

The LP is also giving me the motivation I need to play the single player ahead of you so I can then watch your take on it.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm quite content with this thought even if it is untrue. Perhaps because some of it is pretty awesome and I hadn't heard it before (Gamma Ray especially).

Not that I am aware of. That was what I had hoped, though.

Still, even if I could direct it to a different folder, my music folder has tons of subfolders for different bands so it might not even work.

Also how much do people care about activities? I don't really want to do many of them, but if people want to see them, I'll include a few. I plan to at least include getting drunk, since that'll probably produce some amusing results. I tried pool in one of the lost videos and I hated it. I also went to the strip club and it was boring. I do take Michelle to a show in one of the upcoming videos, which was also boring.

I'd watch a video (or two) of activities as far as this LP goes, with the group thing going on, since that's entertaining on its own. But it's not really necessary since it might be a little hard to comment on. Really, if you think you and whoever your guests are at the time can make it entertaining, go for a few, but if not, then just move on with the story.
