I was watching one for GUN. It was on the SA LP Archive, and they were talking about an episode of Family Matters where Carl has a dream about the wild west.
Not that I am aware of. That was what I had hoped, though.
Still, even if I could direct it to a different folder, my music folder has tons of subfolders for different bands so it might not even work.
Also how much do people care about activities? I don't really want to do many of them, but if people want to see them, I'll include a few. I plan to at least include getting drunk, since that'll probably produce some amusing results. I tried pool in one of the lost videos and I hated it. I also went to the strip club and it was boring. I do take Michelle to a show in one of the upcoming videos, which was also boring.
The manual says that it'll accept shortcuts to music also.
The main thing about activities is that there are rewards for building your friends over 80%, Little Jacob can bring his carful of gun to purchase, Roman's Taxi Service can be called to drive you around.
Haha. I love how Dmitri just kind of sets down that bottle of pills next to Faustin's bottle of Vodka. "Here, take some of these, and you'll be calm." Yeaaaaap.

Thanks EvilBadMan! Worked like a charm!
Adus, a quick scan didn't do anything with the shortcuts, so I ended up doing a complete scan. The complete did recognize and queue everything in all subfolders as well.
I don't think it's a problem with the contrast so much as it is with how "realistic" the graphics are. It's kind of worrying when the inside of a sex shop is more colourful than outside. During the day.
Easily one of my favorite parts yet had to be when you drove into the ocean at the end of the mission, only to have a ambulance follow you in. Finally, for the cherry on top: "I am a good Samaritan!" I was thinking it would have been perfect for Niko to say something like "You make me cop with badge now, yes?" just then.
Reminder that recording the next set will take place today at 2PM EST. If I haven't talked to you about it already, there may not be room for drop-ins so don't cancel any plans, however if you're around then and are bored, add me on Skype (adus-aristaeus) as a spot may open up.
The explosives mission was my favorite bit out of all the installments so far. Klyka's reaction to you running the toll booth was just priceless. I also love that you got hit by the car during the end cutscene.

I second this. I think watching Adus play through is more entertaining than my own play through.

I feel the same way. I'm usually really careful about driving and not attracting attention, and it's great to see someone careening through the game completely out of control.

All Adus needs to do is have more rampant drive-bys on the cops and throw molotovs out the window as he mows down pedestrians and I will officially regret having purchased the game.
so i picked this up for the PC...given it a good 9-10 hours so far. Do you ever do anything with money? I never need to spend more then the odd couple of hundred for some armour and the odd grenade.

On the whole, I drive like Adus only I fuck up far more often (and incite police attention a little less... somehow)... and that's on the PS2 GTAs; I haven't even tried GTAIV beyond five minutes on the X360 version and that was after the game and I got bored. Should try the PC version sometime I guess.
you know, i never bothered finding out if GTA IV had hookers.
Does it, and if it does will it replenish health, and do you still get your money back if you kill em right after?
I do remember hookers being in the game and being able to use their services, but I don't remember if you can kill them and get the money back. Though I'm pretty sure you can.
I havent actually bothered with any since GTA3 (mainly since I couldn't tell which ones they were in Vice City, haven't played San Andreas/Vice City Stories, and never had health problems in Liberty City Stories). I didn't know they existed in game beyond then for the longest time >_>

When i played through i had a ton of money... which made me wonder how much Roman really owed. God that guy must have borrowed Billions.
the huge amounts of money you get for the jobs and the small amount of things to spend it on kinda made the final choice a bit silly when roman suggests you take the deal for money because of the benefit the bellics will get out of it
roman, i'm sitting on excess of 500 grand here
i am pretty sure we could both retire to a hot country and not work again if we played our cards right

Hookers have been in every GTA game since 3, and are in IV as well. Yes they still give you health and yes you can get your money back if you kill them immediately after, despite the fiery protests of many 'very concerned' people.
The bonus in GTA IV is that you can actually see the action happening in the car, rather than the vehicle simply rocking back and forth on its springs.
i honestly feel the game would appear to have a lower resolution if they didn't go with the brown and grey hues. While the resolution and graphics quality is amazing for a GTA sandbox, I think vibrant color was a sacrifice they had to make to avoid the loud color stylings of the past gen GTA games.
In this game the brown and grey is out of necessity, to make the graphics look better than they would be.
case in point- compare bright, colorful saint's row 2

Part 8 - Niko the Good Samaritan - Featuring Klyka, EvilBadman, and Henroid.
I'm beginning to think I need to up the brightness a bit.
Cheers. Glad that it's available on Zune
Oh man, good times. Great work on this LP

Y'know, if you're into that sorta thing.
It's like Street Fighter: The Movie. It's so bad it's good.

with drab GTA 4

the muted tone makes the graphics look a lot more aesthetically appealing, even though they aren't technically all that better than saint's row
it's a gorgeous game, but it has some grit in the camera
this does not make the game gears of war (which was also not grey and brown)
