Internets and the connection thereof

I am having problems connectiong my mom's computer the internet through a wireless/wired linksys router. The router seems to work fine, as I am using it right now for this computer. What setting do I need to change on the new computer to get it to work?

    Are you trying to connect her computer through wireless, or a wired connection? And could you explain the setup your using? Both would help all of us out i think.
