I've been trying to figure out if the Xbox 360 chatpad will work with Windows when attatched to the 360 controller (while that, too, is connected to the PC via the wireless receiver). All I get out of Google is that there's no driver for the chatpad, but does that mean it doesn't work?
I'm hoping it does work, since I can use Xpadder to map both the controller AND the chatpad to add further shortcut commands for PC games like Mass Effect, Witcher, and so forth. Can I please get some confirmation on this?

You mean you have the potential to have (and remember) more shortcuts than keys on a standard PC keyboard?
That does sound pretty awesome. I'm curious about this too. I bought one for that very reason at one point, but returned it when I couldn't find a way to get it to work with my PC.

I'm interested in this as well, but I checked around today and it seems like there's not currently a way. In the initial run of these, on the retail boxes they mentioned they were compatible with Windows, but Microsoft never released a patch and future retail versions lacked that text. Some guy got it sort-of working in a ridiculous way of using an XNA game on a 360 interpreting what you're typing and sending it over network to your PC, regardless it's impractical and not useful at all.

It's wireless.
And small.
And connected to the controller.
So it doesn't work?
